I'm not sure yet - I kinda like the Reno area. I met a lot of really, um, interesting people in Ely, Austin and Eureka, but the main attraction is that there is no income tax. I live in a Tax Hell that is on the verge of getting worse, so I really can't wait to get outta here.

I really have to ask...Nikke, how cold can it possibly get in New Mexico? I've read about Chicagoans who bike to work year round (not that I would do it for SURE) but I think of NM as WARM!

High desert = cold.

Santa Fe is at 7,000 feet and it gets plenty chilly up there. I was in Albuquerque for a conference in December a few years ago and was greatly amused at the Southern Californians who were freezing in the 40's.

We were throwing snowballs at one another on Sandia Peak.

Go re-read my post. I'm a Cheesehead, remember. 40 is cold if you're a wuss from southern California. (The implication is that if you're from up north and going to New Mexico to be warm in the winter, you're going to be disappointed.)
