I have someone interested a FR for Girl Scouts. However, they cannot endorse a specific product.

Any ideas of how to make this work?

Do it as a FR cooking show... the moms and daughters come. Be sure the mom's come because they are the ones with the money! ;)The check will be cut to the Chairperson and the troop. So the chairperson endorses the check and "donates" the money to the troop. So the donation comes from the mom to the troop. Does that make sense?

Kind of. I'm a visual person and it's pretty early yet this morning.

Can you walk me through the whole FR-Cooking show?
TIA

It's like a standard cooking show, but the host gets $$ instead of the usual host benefits. It's a specific show type in PP/P3. See page 5 of the policies.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are some effective fundraising ideas for Girl Scouts that don't involve selling products?

There are several effective fundraising ideas that don't require selling products. Consider organizing events such as bake sales, car washes, or community clean-up days where participants can donate. Hosting a fun run or walk-a-thon can also engage the community and raise funds through sponsorships. Additionally, you could set up a donation drive where community members can contribute directly to the troop's goals.

How can we involve the community in our fundraising efforts?

Involving the community can be achieved by hosting events that encourage participation, such as potlucks, talent shows, or movie nights. You can also partner with local businesses for sponsorships or donations, offering to promote their business in return. Engaging local media to cover your events can also help raise awareness and encourage community support.

What are some creative ways to promote our fundraising events?

Promoting fundraising events can be done through social media platforms, local community boards, and flyers in high-traffic areas. Creating an event page on social media can help spread the word and allow for easy sharing. Additionally, reaching out to local newspapers or radio stations for coverage can increase visibility. Encourage Girl Scouts to invite friends and family to expand your reach.

How can we ensure our fundraising efforts are inclusive and accessible to all families?

To ensure inclusivity, consider offering a variety of fundraising options that cater to different interests and abilities. Make events family-friendly and affordable, and provide options for virtual participation if possible. Communicate clearly about the goals and importance of the fundraising efforts to encourage everyone to get involved, regardless of their financial situation.

What are some tips for setting realistic fundraising goals?

Setting realistic fundraising goals starts with assessing your troop's needs and the community's capacity to contribute. Consider past fundraising successes and challenges to inform your goals. Break larger goals into smaller, achievable milestones to keep motivation high. Regularly communicate progress to the troop and supporters to maintain enthusiasm and encourage continued participation.
