Fund-Raising for Girl Scouts Without Endorsing Products: Tips and Ideas

In summary, there are several alternatives to selling products for fundraising, such as hosting events like car washes, bake sales, or garage sales, as well as reaching out to local businesses for sponsorships or donations. Girls can still be involved in the fundraising process without endorsing products, and it can be a valuable learning experience for them. To make a fundraising event stand out, consider adding a unique theme, offering raffle prizes or a silent auction, and utilizing social media. There are also online fundraising platforms available for non-profit organizations. It's important to consult with the Girl Scout council and follow their guidelines for a safe and successful event.

I have someone interested a FR for Girl Scouts. However, they cannot endorse a specific product.

Any ideas of how to make this work?

Do it as a FR cooking show... the moms and daughters come. Be sure the mom's come because they are the ones with the money! ;)The check will be cut to the Chairperson and the troop. So the chairperson endorses the check and "donates" the money to the troop. So the donation comes from the mom to the troop. Does that make sense?

Kind of. I'm a visual person and it's pretty early yet this morning.

Can you walk me through the whole FR-Cooking show?
TIA

It's like a standard cooking show, but the host gets $$ instead of the usual host benefits. It's a specific show type in PP/P3. See page 5 of the policies.
