I'd love to do booths at fairs and stuff but don't even know where to start looking for stuff. The only boutiques I know of are all at Christmas. Do you guys know of any online calendars/resources or something? Where do you find these venues?

Re: Booths?Check with the Chamber of commerce in your town and neighboring towns, check with schools about spring flings (they might be all over by now, but you never know), check with catering/banquet halls about bridal fairs, google events in your town, state.

Hope that helps!

Re: Booths?I've done the websearch, no luck. I'm actually usually really good at searching the web, my family always laughs when we're sitting around talking about stuff and someone asks a random question that no one knows the answer too. They'll move on in the conversation but I'll do some googling and 2 minutes later spit out the answer. Bridal fairs are a good idea, I know there's a country club near where I work that has bridal fairs alot (when I was getting married I was only engaged for about 3 months and there were 2 I think). I also want to go pamper some of the local bridal shops, but I only remember when I drive past and then forget once I get home!

Re: Booths?Check your local mall's website for upcoming events and contact them right away. Also, your director sometimes receives notification of upcoming events in the area, and even has funds to help pay for some.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are some effective ways to find local fairs and boutiques for direct sales events?

To find local fairs and boutiques, start by checking community bulletin boards, local newspapers, and online event calendars. Websites like Eventbrite, Meetup, and Facebook Events can also provide information on upcoming events. Additionally, consider joining local business groups on social media platforms where members often share event opportunities.

Are there specific resources or websites that list fairs and boutiques?

Yes, there are several resources you can use. Websites like FestivalNet, CraftShow, and ArtFairCalendar list various fairs and craft shows across the country. Local chamber of commerce websites often have event listings as well. Additionally, check with local schools, churches, and community centers, as they frequently host fairs and markets.

How can I create a calendar of events for my direct sales business?

To create a calendar of events, start by compiling a list of potential fairs and boutiques from your research. Use a digital calendar tool like Google Calendar or a project management app to organize the events by date. Include details such as location, contact information, and registration deadlines. Regularly update your calendar as new events are announced.

What should I consider when selecting a venue for my Pampered Chef events?

When selecting a venue, consider factors such as foot traffic, target audience, and the size of the space. Ensure the venue aligns with your brand and product offerings. Additionally, check for amenities like electricity, tables, and access to restrooms. It’s also important to review any fees or requirements associated with the venue.

How far in advance should I start looking for venues for fairs and boutiques?

It’s advisable to start looking for venues at least 3 to 6 months in advance. Many fairs and boutiques have early registration deadlines, and popular events can fill up quickly. Starting early allows you to secure the best spots and gives you ample time to prepare your marketing materials and inventory.
