I hear it's great with cheddar cheese and salsa mixed in!
That's true of just about any flour. If you stock up when it's on sale and don't plan on using it right away, store it in your freezer. The cold will kill anything that's in there that hasn't hatched yet. (I know, ewww... but flour is an agricultural product and bugs are a fact of life.)Paige Dixon said:I heard not to keep it over a year, that it will get bugs in it!
The shelf life of our Beer Bread Mix is approximately 18 months from the date of manufacture. However, we recommend using the mix within 12 months for best results.
The Beer Bread Mix should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. It is best to keep it in an airtight container or resealable bag to maintain freshness.
We do not recommend using the Beer Bread Mix after the expiration date as the quality and taste may be affected. It is best to purchase a new mix for optimal results.
If the mix has a strange odor, has changed color, or has clumps or mold, it is best to discard it. These are signs that the mix has gone bad and should not be used.
Yes, you can freeze the Beer Bread Mix to extend its shelf life. Make sure to store it in a freezer-safe container or bag and use it within 6 months for best results. Thaw the mix in the fridge before using it.
