I'm doing a show on Monday where the host wants me to prepare the pork tenderloin in the Deep Covered Baker. My concern is that her microwave does not appear to be tall enough on the inside to use the baker with the lid. Has anyone ever run into a similar situation? Any suggestions? I could use her oven, but I'm not sure what the baking time would be... I've always done mine in the microwave.

Help me, please!

Have her measure her microwave - it needs to be 13" wide, 13" deep, and 7" high. I have more problems with them not being wide enough.

I don't cook mine with the lid on. Cook uncovered and then put the lid on after you remove it from the microwave for 10 min.

Becky - thanks for the dimensions. I'll be sure to mention them during my presentation.

Barb - I haven't tried it without the lid, but that's a great tip as well.

These tips just might work. Thanks again.

Hi there! I have run into a similar situation before and I totally understand your concern. One option would be to try using the oven instead. The baking time for pork tenderloin in the oven is usually around 20-25 minutes at 425 degrees. You could also try using a different dish that fits in the microwave, such as a shallow baking dish or a casserole dish with foil on top. Another option would be to cut the pork tenderloin into smaller pieces so that it fits in the microwave with the Deep Covered Baker lid on. I hope this helps and good luck with your show on Monday! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What ingredients do I need for the Easy 10-Minute Pork Tenderloin Recipe?

For the Easy 10-Minute Pork Tenderloin Recipe, you will need a pork tenderloin, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and any additional herbs or spices you prefer, such as rosemary or thyme. Optional ingredients include vegetables for roasting or sides to serve with the pork.

Can I cook the pork tenderloin in the microwave?

Yes, you can cook the pork tenderloin in the microwave. To do this, season the pork as desired, place it in a microwave-safe dish, cover it with a microwave-safe lid or plastic wrap, and cook on high for about 8-10 minutes, checking for doneness with a meat thermometer.

How does the oven method differ from the microwave method for cooking pork tenderloin?

The oven method typically takes longer but allows for a more even cooking and better caramelization of the meat. To cook in the oven, preheat to 425°F (220°C), season the pork, and roast for about 20-25 minutes, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

What is the best way to ensure the pork tenderloin stays juicy?

To ensure the pork tenderloin stays juicy, avoid overcooking it. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness, and let the meat rest for a few minutes after cooking. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, resulting in a more tender and flavorful dish.

Can I add vegetables to the dish when cooking the pork tenderloin?

Yes, you can add vegetables to the dish when cooking the pork tenderloin. If using the oven method, you can place chopped vegetables like carrots, potatoes, or bell peppers around the pork in the roasting pan. For the microwave method, add quick-cooking vegetables that can steam alongside the pork.
