Ok, I am not doing the baby shower. A friend of mine is, i had asked her help in getting my name out there (new to the area) and she asked if I wanted to donate an appetizer or dessert to the shower and i could have my business cards and catalogs out around it.

I am thinking about making either the tuxedo brownies or the Butterfly pretzels, i thought the pretzels BEST b/c they are newer and sooo cute! I think the brownies have been around for awhile and no OOhhhh Ahhhh's.

My question is, should i only have business cards and catalogs out, or should i have my drawing slips out what should i do to attract people since I will not personally be there.

IMHO if you leave anything I would just leave a business card. If i was at a baby shower I probably would not take a catalog home with me. I go there for mom and baby not for catalogs.

If it is not too late, have the mom-to-be register for some PC tools to help when baby comes. I have heard of PC baby showers. We have tons of products to make meal time easier.

I would leave the focus on the baby shower. Not passing out catalogs and certainly not having dps. You can leave catalogs with the host or in your car and if anyone asks for one let them have it. Use the SA 3-tiered stand to display your food & place your business card in the holder at top. I don't think I would leave them lying around either. If the host is playing games, you could offer to donate prizes (Season's best, mini spatula, etc.) You can place them in cellophane bag with mini-catalog & busniness card. I think that would be appropriate.

I would give the mom-to-be a small PC gift. Maybe a GC to be used by you only. Or product that will be helpful with new baby.

I agree with Jennie, don't leave catalogs out or cards. I would make up recipe cards that talk about the products you used and on the back put a short info about Free products and your info. Don't be obvious at a shower you aren't a part of.
I host all our church baby showers at my house and my PC products and recipes are on full display but never do I lay catalogs out in my own home for a shower.

Hi there! It's great that your friend is helping you out with getting your name out there. Donating an appetizer or dessert to the baby shower is a great idea to showcase your skills as a pampered chef consultant. I think either the tuxedo brownies or butterfly pretzels would be a hit at the shower. Personally, I love the butterfly pretzels because they are unique and eye-catching. As for promoting your business, I would suggest having both your business cards and catalogs out, as well as some drawing slips. This way, people can take your information with them and also have a chance to win something from your business. You could also consider offering a special discount or promotion for those who sign up for your mailing list or place an order at the shower. Good luck and have fun with it!
