Here's a recipe I made a few years ago, and one teacher always asks if she'll get that again if she gets the younger girls, so must have been good.
Cheesy Potatoe Soup Mix~
2 cup powdered coffee creamer
½ cup Imitation Bacon Bits
2 (1.5 oz.) Packages Knorr Four Cheese Sauce Mix
2 T. Parsley Flakes
1 tsp. salt free-seasoning blend
½ tsp. pepper
2 Cups Potato Buds (Betty Crocker Instant Potatoes)
Layer the ingredients in the order given into a wide
mouth 1 quart canning
jar. Pack each layer in place before adding the next
ingredient.
Attach a gift tag with the cooking instructions:
Cheesy Potatoe Soup
1 Jar Cheesy Potatoe Soup Mix
2 (5 oz) cans ham *optional*
Place the Cheesy Potatoe SOup mix in a large soup pot.
Add 8 cups boiling
water. Mix well and let stand 5 minutes. Heat Ham in
Microwave and stir in.
This is sooo delicious! It is VERY thick and full
bodied! My family really
loves it!
I serve it with the following Garden Bread.
Garden Herb Bread
3/4 c. water
2 C. white flour
1 T. Dry Milk *powdered*
1 T. Sugar
1 t. salt
1 T. Butter
1 t. Chives
1 t. Marjoram
1 t. Thyme
1/2 t. Basil
2 t. Dry Active Yeast
**Use dried flaked herbs. If using ground, reduce by
half. If using fresh,
double.
Place in Breadmaker in order given and follow Bread
machine directions...
