What are some recipe ideas for a Deer Hunters' Widows themed party?

In summary, a woman is looking for recipes to tie into a hunting themed show. Some ideas she came up with include Chippendales dancers or a similar idea, but have no clue where to begin. Does anyone have any suggestions? Lastly, the author shares a recipe for deer burgers or bar fries.

I have a hostess who is holding a show the night before deer hunting season opens this month. She wanted to know if there are any recipes that could tie into a theme like that? I'm almost thinking of something related to Chippendales dancers or a similar idea, but have no clue where to begin. Does anyone have any suggestions on hunting-related recipes or even the male dancer idea?

Do you have any deer meat. You can make deer burgers or get some deer pictures to hang up. Make some bake fries with your bar pan.
Just my ideals.

sorry, i gotta share my tenderloin recipe... I know it isn't for your show.. but thought I'd share

in your crock pot put in the deer tenderloin, add a packet of lipton onion soup mix packet, onion (sliced) couple dashes worchestire (spelling), cream of mushroom soup. garlic, salt and pepper. place everything in there... let cook on low for a few hours (I like to start it in the morning and eat it in the evening)... it is absolutely amazing.. I don't like mushrooms, but love this.. the worchestire, soup mix and cream of mushroom makes this "gravy" and the meat is soooo tender.. My daughter loves this, now I just wish I had some tenderlion!!!!

Hope you enjoy. I don't think I have forgotten anything

I make this same recipe but with a beef roast in the oven, wrapped in foil. It's called workperson roast because you put it in the oven when you leave for work at 250 and it's done when you get home. It is the most tender roast you will ever eat and I usually buy the cheapest roast I can find, because is cooks up so tender you cant tell.

Thank you so much for the Deer Meat recipe. We have been blessed with 15 # of deer meat from a friend who was successful the first time out bow hunting this season. We have used two of the roasts already, and my son-in-law prepared it with fresh garlic stuffed in slits he cut in the roast. Salt and pepper was his seasoning on the outside, as far as I know. I love the texture of the meat, and the flavor too.

All y'all are killing me!I miss deer meat so much! In Texas we had a friend who went hunting every year, and always "bagged" a deer, but his wife wouldn't touch the stuff. We were on his good side (and worked hard to stay that way ;) ), so we got LOTS of meat every year. Haven't had any since we moved to NM though... anybody wanna ship this poor-no-deer-meat-to-be-had-preggo some packed in dry ice????:p

Enjoy your goodies!!!!!

I fry me deer meat. Then put it in the crock pot with 6 cups of water and a one package each of mushroom, onion and brown gravy mix and cook for about 4 hours. Make a great gravy too with the crust and all. You may need to add a little water if it gets too thick.

You could use the grilling tools and grill skewers. We soak ours in Dales then wrap in bacon and grill. You can also add peppers and onions or anything else to the skewers to grill too.

This is making me hungry!

I was thinking along the lines of "stuff the man won't eat" We all know about it...my director's husband hates anything baked in crescent rolls (can you imagine that?!?!) and when he's gone, that's what they eat!

The "Anti-man" show would be funny. Serve girly drinks (you know, bright colors with fruit on a stick), have some frou-frou salad or something and definitely a chocolate dessert. Here's a great drink that a cluster-mate gave me. I served it at a home party I hosted, and they were a big hit.The anti-naughty-word filter might catch the name of this. So, it's a word that starts with a "P" and rhymes with "corn". :)Porn Star
Put
1 can (10 oz) frozen strawberry daquiri mix
into a blender. Use the can to measure and add 1 can each:
orange juice
coconut-flavored rum (Malibu)
Peel and add 1 banana. Pop in a few ice cubes and blend. They're delish!!

That is funny Ann. But I have a question for you all.....Why in the world do all the Good drinks have pornographic style names?????

Think about the people's condition when they were thinking up the names... More than likely not sober people. hehe

According to the site my friend got the recipe from, one of the people who was partaking on the day the inventor came up with it, told him, "Those drinks are making me loose like a porn star!"

I think it's because of the banana. :)

Venison RecipesHi All,
I just posted two venison recipes on the site. One for Venison Stroganoff, the other a little fancier for Poached Venison Shank. Neither one is a Pampered Chef recipe, so the tool list is not accurate.

Just thought I'd add for those deer meat lovers out there. You can substitute beef for either recipe!
