Deduction Question for Demo Ingredients

In summary, the speaker is asking about how often they can test a recipe and write it off. They are also asking about other people's opinions on the matter. There is no clear answer, but it seems like you can test a recipe multiple times if you use one of the PC tools.

I know that when I practice PC recipes, the ingredients are tax-deductible.

I thought I read on here that I can test each recipe TWICE. Is that twice a YEAR or twice forever?? So if I tested Asian Pork Skillet twice last year, can I test it twice again this year and write-off the ingredients again? Or once I have tested it twice - then I can't write-off the ingredients again?

Thanks!

That's a very good question. I'm interested in what others have to say.

Here is my question....How is anyone else going to know what recipe you are going to make just by your reciept? I have a ton of reciepts that are just partial recipe ingredients because I have some of the stuff at home.

Just a thought....

I usually write my recipe names write on the margin of my receipt, for my own future reference. I don't know if this matters for tax purposes though. That's a good question, it'll be interesting to see if anyone has the answer...

I was told that you could write off any ingredient in a PC recipe. My director told me that she has done this for 10 years. I think it's a little much. She told me that if you used(practiced) with any of our tools... that you could write off the ingredients as "practice". I am also eager to see what our Pro PCers do...

Where do you get a list of what all is tax-deductable with PC?

From your tax preparer. Not everyone even in the same state can or should deduct all the same things.

My tax preparer said that since my family was benefiting/eating the food that he would be willing to deduct 1/2 the cost of practice food. He considered it a gray area.
