Hey,
What would you buy for the "8oz processed cheese spread"??
Velveeta??

Velveeta! Yummy!!!

Velveeta for sure :D

So who all has tried the new chix power recipes??? Just wanted to know how they came out?? The only one that sounded good to me was the soup and maybe wraps.

A note on the soup--if you are spice-impaired, definitely cut the rub in half or more.

I've made the Dijon Pasta Toss...loved it! Makes a TON. The stir-fry was also good. I thought not as good as the other, but DH liked it (and he doesn't like much). I still have the wraps in the freezer for another day.

I seem to be in the minority for not liking the Toss. I couldn't even finish my bowl. :-( The wraps are great to take for lunch though..my coworkers thought I got it from a restaurant!

8 oz processed chees spread? Wouldn't a spread be something soft and scoopable, like Cheeze Whiz? I won't use that stuff so I'd have to come up with a different way to make the recipe or I wouldn't make it.

Nope, they mean Velveeta b/c the recipe calls to cut it in cubes (I think - that's how I did it at least).

Yes, it's Velveeta.Wraps got a THUMBS UP here tonight. I used just 1T of rub as I wanted my 5 yo to eat it. He LOVED it!

HOw funny, I made the wraps last night. Yummy, although we love some heat, so we had to add some Tabasco to them. Kids won't eat them. They have a weird thing about chicken texture.:( In my freezer is the Tortilla soup and the Greek chicken one. Can't wait to try those!

for both the soup and the wraps, I chopped the chicken with the Food Chopper so it was nice and shredded. You could barely notice it in the wraps with the rice and beans.

We made the soup and the dijon toss today at our meeting. I loved the dijon toss, but not my husband's taste. The soup was a bit spicy, so agree I would cut the rub in half. We made it with cheddar because the consultant who brought the ingredients could not figure out what the cheese was supposed to be. The cheddar worked fine, a bit messy to clean up though because the melted cheese stuck to the bolts in the stock pot. The soup will be great as the weather gets colder for a "Sip and Slipper" show.

all the recipes sound so yummy! Does anyone bake the chicken in the oven or do you do it in the microwave? I was thinking of baking it ahead in the DCB in the oven and finishing the recipes at the shows.
