THIS BUS IS GETTING TURNED AROUND!!

my business has taken a nose dive due to my not getting on the phone! TODAY I am going to Staples to make copies of my Mystery Host show that I am doing at my house next week! I am looking for bookings and recruit leads! I am toooo close to getting TPC to just throw in the towel. Kick me in the rear!
I will also go to the $ store with my kiddos today (they are home all week) and I am making it my purpose to intentionally talk to as many adults as possible today about PC. I WANT A RUBY RING!!

GO AMY - KEEP THAT GOAL IN SIGHT!!!!

You can DO THIS Amy!!! Keep us posted on your results!!!

Rae, I love your "pick-up" lines and the way you make those contacts!

Amy - You CAN do it!

Talking about taking a nose dive, I only have 3 shows (and no catalog) booked for April, and I am sure at least one will cancel. I have only been making on average, 1 contact a day, and only 4 days out of the week! I need to get my behind in gear and start making 5 contacts a day. By making myself dial at least 20 or so numbers and not just 6-7, I will probably end up making 3-4 contacts, instead of just 1.

Today was going to be my day to catch up, and start on those calls, but mid-morning, I started getting that dry, scratchy throat, and then a nauseaus (sp?) feeling all day, as well as feeling drained. But, I wanted to touch base with the 3 April hosts and my current catty show hosts, so I did get on the phone this evening.

One host changed her show from April 20th to April 27th! Another catty show host had only collected 2 orders, but had also underwent some recent surgery. We discussed the possibility of having a cooking show over the summer. She then asked me about wedding showers, so I discussed that. (She knows someone getting married in October) So, I will keep my fingers crossed for a wedding shower.

Another call was a follow up from a person I spoke to last week that had to check her schedule. The result: A possible summer show. I will call back in May!!!!! That is what everyone is saying~~~~~~~~~~~~

ok, so my DS ended up getting sick on our outing today, and I mean really sick.:yuck: So, didn't quite get the results I wanted while I was out. BUT I do have almost 100 invitations ready to mail in the AM for my own show! I'm hoping to get 20 here. Keep in mind I live in a VERY rural area, and most of my contacts are atleast 25 minutes away so that is why I'm not expecting/hoping for a better turnout!

also talked with a recruit lead who is now thinking April:cry:

I just got home from a really fun show! We did the Deluxe Cheeseburger Salad as an interactive show - I had so much fun myself!

3 bookings - 1 for April 10!!! I'm so excited about that one - close in, and within the timeframe for earning free conference. I think I'm really going to earn it this year! I've earned half-off, or $50 off before - but this year, I think I'm going to go for free!
The other 2 bookings were for June. I now have 6 shows in June! I'm almost completely booked. I'm going to be gone the 20th-30th, so I have a limited time frame for shows.
Also - one of the June bookings is really interested in signing!

I cannot book May for anything, though. No one seems to care at all about HWC, and that is so disappointing, because it is so important to me. I have one solid booking for May, and one that still needs to choose a date.

The best thing that happened today is that I signed a new consultant! I'm excited for her! Her first show is Apr. 5 - and she has 5 shows booked for April so far!

yay Becky!!!!!!

2 live contacts today so far. Gave both invites to my own show next week. 1 was a lady at the post office, the other is the mother of one of my son's friends. Trying to get some new faces!
Have new consultant training at my home tonight, so not going to have time to call. Will try a few early calls though!

Yesterday was all about host coaching for me. I am going to make as many calls as possible tonight though b/c I am not sure I will be able to do calls the next two days. I did offer the opportunity to my 4 hosts from the calls yesterday. None are interested.

I am happy that I actually made three contacts today!

The first one was a customer care call to an outside order from a December show. She was happy with her stone, but was not interested in having her own show, BUT, she asked me if I did Bridal Showers! and of course, I said yes. I am sending her some information on the showers and registry, and will follow up. The wedding is in June, and they want to have a shower in April. (Also added her e-mail to my newsletter list)

The second customer care call also resulted in getting her e-mail address.

The third contact was actually a telemarketer calling me!!!! She was looking for donations for some sort of cancer fundraiser. That is when I brought up that I am a PC consultant, and do Help Whip Cancer Fundraisers. She mentioned that PC has great products, so I asked her if she had a consultant. She did not give me her contact info, but she said she wrote my phone number down, and I gave her my PWS address, so we shall see.

I am just happy that I got more than 1 contact today, and not lots of machines. Now, I just need those bookings!!!!

Tonight I made 12 calls and got answering machines for 7 of them.

~One resulted in a product adjustment
~One gave me a $30 order for the church fundraiser going on now
~One added 2 seasonings to her church fundraiser order
~One asked me to call back in the morning
~One was supposed to call me back after she was done with dinner (but didn't)

No bookings. Hopefully I will have better luck tomorrow!

- delivered adjustment to client- she talked about booking a summer show
- spent time today emailing specials to get sales before April 15 (will follow up with calls)

yesterday I did my 3 contacts and got 1 booking

an in person invite to my own show
worked with 2 consultants - coaching
host coaching
and with DD gymnastics tonight I didn't get any extra calls.....sigh....

Spent a good part of the day with a neighbor/friend of mine, so I didn't get a chance to get on the phone..........ugh!..............but, my friend mentioned that her friend (that has attended a show in the past) was interested in hosting a catty show, and then has a young coworker that may want to do a housewarming party. I did call the potential catty host, and e-mailed her the upcoming specials. Will follow up to see if she wants to host in March or April.

results for tonightI hope things go better tomorrow.

I made 28 calls tonight to past guests and some of the list from when I started.
Here are my results:
18 left a message with a machine
1 wants to attend a party in the area but is not interested in hosting a show/either catalog or cooking
2 call back requests (today is not a good time to talk, scheduled follow ups)
1 April ordering (she is getting a list together and may do a catalog show as her mama is moving into a condo early May)
1 poss April fund raiser
2 possible summer shows (just need to confirm dates)
2 disconnected numbers

I will be making calls again tomorrow night.

I left catalogs at a few Dr. offices this morning and a flyer that will be added to the library's community board.

I am thinking about hosting my own show in April as an open house for neighbors and others. Not sure how else to let the neighbors know I am a consultant as I don't want to just leave flyers in their doors...

UpdateTonight I called 17 people.

The results are:
2 possible April/May shows
1 wants to order (decided to hold and open house as this is the 4 person that wants to attend a local show and I will invite the neighbors)
5 would like to host a show in June/July 3 of which dated their show :)
9 left a message

Things to do next week:

I will follow up next week with the people I left messages with and with my poss April/ May hosts to date their shows.

I will have a guest list for my open house (4/18 at 7pm) and start mailing invites

host coaching & host chasing
also going round & round with a recruit lead trying to get her off the fence. Beginning to think this woman likes being chased, and I'm tired! Drama I tell ya, pure drama UGHHHH!

That is great Chefmoseley!!!!!

One of my goals is to make an effort to dial more numbers. There are many days, that I have only dialed maybe 8, so of course I am going to get 6-7 machines, and possibly 1 contact. I know I would have a better chance of getting bookings and recruits if I made more calls throughout the day, and not just during 1 hour of the evening.

Today, my contacts were:

~Clerk at the Dollar General store, with no results

~Followed up with an Usborne Consultant that I met at a show I attended last month. She talked about the possibility of party swapping. My friend ended up signing under her, but the Usborne consultant may host a show in a few months.

~A customer care call with no results.

~From the above post, my neighbor/friend talked to her coworker about the benefits she would get having a Pampered Chef housewarming party. It sounds like it may be a possible June show.

~Another customer care call resulted in sending an e-mail with DCB recipes, and a follow up call in June for a possible summer show.

show tonight with good attendance and sales, but NO bookings:cry:  I do have a strong recruit lead and 3 possible registries, but I NEED bookings.

did catch up with a catty host who is now over $400:D . Wish I could get her to sign. This is the 2nd time in less than 6 months she has done this!

Show tomorrow has 7-10 guests. It's ALOT further than I would normally go for a show, and as desperate as I am for bookings, I would much rather recruit the host to do any shows as it really is too far to go.*****sigh****

oh, I forgot to mention that one of my recruits had her first show last night. It's over $500 and 6, yes 6 bookings!!! She is so pumped, and is even talking about possibly going to conference!!:D She even told her guests last night that her goal is to make PC her FT job!

Okay, so I've been making my contacts. Generally that's right at 3-4 a day. This week they haven't resulted in any real solid leads, but lots of good customer care.My favorite was the former host I spoke with yesterday. I was checking in with her about an adjustment we had to do. I had ordered her to wrong thing as one of her 60% off host items. Totally my fault. She had felt bad that her catty was only just over $200, so she really felt bad asking for an exchange. She kept referring to her show as "piddling." I assured her that I don't consider any show piddling. She then mentioned that she would owe me more money because what she wanted cost a bit more than what I ordered her. I told her that it was my mistake, so not to worry about it. I'd cover it. (She had paid for what I ordered, not what she ordered. The difference was very minimal.) She vowed to never buy anything from another PC consultant. Ever. For as long as she lives. Never. :) I assured her that I would love for her to consider me her personal PC consultant.

Yesterday, I spent much of the day with my two children, outdoors, enjoying the 78 degree weather here in NC, including soccer practice in the evening, so I didn't get any phone time in.

I did get two contacts at soccer practice. One resulted in giving a catalog, and getting the name, address, and e-mail (no phone #). Another had no siginficant results.

I've been slacking big time lately. On Tuesday I did make several contacts, but not much since then. I need to get on that phone and get some bookings. I only have 4 shows for April then NONE after that.

this afternoon's show was almost an EXACT repeat of last nights show. Show total almost the same amount, same attendance, and NO BOOKINGS! The host is considering signing though;)
And to be quite honest, I'm not totally upset at the lack of bookings. This was a stretch for driving for me and I really don't want to have to repeat it! I was actually late, with the 2 major traffic snarls it took me 2 HOURS to get there! Another consultant can gladly have the suburbs of DC!

Well, I had a very productive day - just not one that included making contacts!

I did close a show today from earlier this week - $525 in sales, and 3 bookings. That's about all the PC work I did.

But, today, I slept in! I also did 6 loads of laundry, cleaned the bathroom; cleaned, dusted, and mopped the rest of the house; changed the sheets on the beds, made cinnamon struesel muffins for breakfast; made homemade potato salad; marinated and grilled steaks; made strawberry shortcake (with homemade biscuits!); played outside with DS, hung sheets & rugs on the line, so everything is smelling fresh and clean; watched Ratatoullie (sp?) with my guys, played "Chase" and "Here Comes Your Boy" (games my little guy made up!) and read a book on Oceans, and another library book......

It was a very busy, productive, fun day. Not a day for a lot of business, but a day I really needed to be exactly the way that it was.

Now, I'm off to take a shower and go to bed!

I had a great show last night as far as sales go. It's almost $800. Very hard to do this show because the group of 13 ladies were quite talkative. I could hardly get a word in, and I didn't get any bookings except for one that will be in October. I couldn't explain anything. I feel like I need to call every guest and give them the low down on the products they purchased. WHATEVER!

Oh, and I also broke the microwave! Not really. I put the white chocolate and Cool Whip into the micro cooker, and I placed it into the microwave. I pressed the 2 for 20 seconds and tried to push the 0. Nothing. I pushed "Clear". Nothing. The host came back into the kitchen. She couldn't do anything either. Unplugged the microwave and waited. Plugged it back in. Nothing. SO...I used my 8" skillet to melt things. I put the cream cheese in the Small Batter Bowl and set the bowl in the stainless bowl with hot water surrounding the batter bowl. Then we used host's beaters to cream it all together. I had to melt chocolate chips for the Warm Nutty Caramel Brownies, too. Used the skillet for that, too. Crazy night. 4 1/2 hours total time there, and my commission is over $150. Not bad for the craziness.

I had one of those productive days as well Becky! cleaned the kitchen, living room, and DD bedroom today, as well as part of my "office area". I also created my April Newsletter, while staying in my jammies ALL DAY!!!!

I did manage to get 2 contacts in today, but with nothing great to report about them. I need Bookings!!!!!!!

I got in two contacts yesterday, including a future order once we can sell the baking sheets again.

Hi ladies I would love to dive in & hold myself more accountable. I have 1 catalog show for April, 1 live show and 2 lrg fairs. I need to build my biz, because I want to promote. So ladies will you help me make more contacts.
You guys are also inspiring me to clean my house.

Hi Amanda! You have come to the right place! We'll expect a report on how you do for Monday phone calls tomorrow evening!:D If you have a fear of the phone, you may want to listen to the phone courage class from Leadership that is now on CC.
