Happy birthday to your DD Ellen!

The only things I did today were to go to my last sun's host's house and close her show in person. I made a great connection with her and had a lot of fun chatting for over an hour! I also drew my mystery host winner and called the host (someone who's like a sister to me) and she was totally drunk and very excited that she won. lol, she's gonna call me tomorrow to choose her stuff. Once my mystery host show is turned in I will have $1420 submitted for sales for the month! I am only $1080 away from my goal for the month with 1 show still to submit (at about $200 in sales right now, with 5-6 more orders to come) and 2 show still to do. I am stoked!

Great sales Alison! I think after Sunday, I will have submitted $1500 with 3 more shows and a catty or two to go! I wanted a lot of sales this month (besides needing the $) b/c I'm no where near the cruise and was hoping for the conference cash!

We can totally do it Ellen! I'm hoping for the conference cash as well and have quite a ways to go myself. I need to hit the phone on Sunday and get some shows booked for October and November. Secure dates = a calm state of mind!!! I am aiming for 6-8 shows in October, 8-10 shows in November and 4-6 shows in December. Theoretically with 18-24 shows I should be able to hit my goal if I host coach really well (currently I am 13,900 points away from level 1 and I plan on being 12,800 or less away at the end of the month). I think I may have a Black Friday sale in November and offer something and maybe will do a 1,000 mystery host catalog show in november as well. We can totally do this Ellen!!!

It's great to have an accountability partner! I am about 8,000 away from the conference cash. (I think.) I was also planning on doing a $1000 catty show in November. I just had one with my "go-to" past hosts in July, so I'm not sure how it will go. I was soooo pumped about the cruise at the beginning of the year! It's kinda depressing that I didn't even get close! I thought I was working so hard too! I gotta be more consistant. September is going great so far, but only have 3 for October (and 1 is a combo show). I still have lots of time though! We can do it Alison!:D

Yes we can! I was 2000 points away last year and AM going to earn it this year!

I'm around 7000 points away from the conference cash. This will be my first year earning an incentive & I WILL earn it! I'm thinking after this month, I should be around 5000 away. But I'm taking Oct off to have a baby (unless I get catty shows). I want to start back in November with at least 8 shows & do at least 6 shows in Dec. Right now I have 3 (or 4) for November & 1 for Dec. But I still have 4 more cooking shows this month to try to get bookings & can still call my past hosts from last year. I really want to hit level 1!

had 2 shows today, one cancelled. Sales were not great, but of the 3 guests all booked shows! Yayyy!! So, I told the host how foolish it would be to go to shows spending money, when she could be the one making commission for her own kids' Christmas. AND that she would only need 1 more show to fulfill her committment to PC. SO, she is "supposed" to be signing on Monday. One of her friends that booked a show is also interested in the opportunity, and will probably sign under her friend as she needs the kit credit! It seems that my shows that look the most bleak turn out to be heavy on recruits AND bookings.
On another bad note, my show for tomorrow cancelled. So, my month may not be as good in the sales department as I first hoped. But maybe I'll make up for it in recruits, so far I've signed 2 this month, and hopefully another on Monday!
Hope you guys are having a good weekend, and that your shows are going good!

Another recriut Amy? That's great news and VERY inspiring for us! Plus...more points for you!

My 3-2-1 was my show tonight.

I got 1 December booking (unless her flaky consultant calls her by the end of the month. Long story.)

I asked everyone else and no takers. I did give out a opportunity packet to a man that was there. I'm not sure if he accepted it just to "humor" me or not. I will call him this next week though!

Congrats Amy!! I like the way you show hosts with bookings how their "requirement is fulfilled" just like that from their show alone! That is a great way. I always talk about the bookings with the host, but never swing the conversation that way. Great idea!

BTW, I've done 4 out of 6 cooking shows so far for the month and I'm NOT getting the bookings I was hoping for!!!

Hey Ellen, if anything you will be one more no closer to a yes! :D

That's true Alison. I think I'm due for a whole bunch of yes's in the booking and recruiting department!

I'm with ya on the bookings! I lost my November booking today, as the person was going to do a show for the app. plates and caddy and she won the mystery host, so used her $60 fpv to get them. On the up side I sold a 7-piece set of executive, so am almost at my 1200 points for the SS 12"! on the down side, I had to pick people up from the airport and didn't get a chance to submit the show before midnight, and could have used that $100 towards the speeding ticket (which I am going to call and see if there was even a sign posted where I was driving, as I wasn't on the road for very long. one can always hope...).

That just reminded me that I was bummed b/c the past host that was there tonight didn't want her cookware!:(

Don't you hate that!?! My host from the show I closed yesterday changed her mind about wanting cookware... I was like argh!!!

Hey Ellen, I just noticed that you have gone from stripper to almost yellow in like no time!! way to go!

Yep. I've been "cheating" by posting on the "stripper" thread. It's fun. :D

lol... I've tried to resist temptation in posting there... Plus I've been so busy, that to even get to read a handful of threads has been a challenge! I'm trying to make my time as productive as possible... can you tell I'm procrastinating going to bed, as I know I have to wake up and do homework???

nothing today - took the day off!
Will be calling my newest potential recruit in the morning and working on the 3 part as much as possible - I need 2 more cooking shows for October.

Nothing for me either... well my "grandma" took a catalog after she had the pork in the deep covered baker (which my cousin - her DS and DIL are buying her for christmas) and then we made the truffle brownie bites and she loved them, so maybe I'll get an order from her :)

My main focus for the day has been crazy homework -- I just couldn't turn down free dinner, especially when it's my recipe :) Have a good night!

I didn't make calls today, but I....

gave a host packet to a up-coming host,

closed a $747 show

closed an almost $900 show

Was told "not right now" by the host I thought was "FOR SURE" going to sign up.

And host coached another up-coming host.

Will make some calls tomorrow before my cluster meeting I guess...

I've been off this site for a couple of days. Here's what I've done:Friday I got talking on the phone to a friend and missed my (self-imposed) calling window.
My Saturday host called me late Friday evening from the hospital. She had a sister who went into premature labor and delivered a baby weighing only a little over a pound. She also had a nephew who had been rushed to the emergency room with a suspected brain infection. I assured her that rescheduling would be no problem. Saturday I made my calls. I got good feedback and a possible December party. I also talked with my Wednesday host. She's expecting about 30 people! Woo hoo!Sunday I didn't make calls, but was approached by three people wishing to place orders. :)

Hey Everyone
BeckyD gave me a Pampered Chef pin to wear, today. I wore it to Meijer (grocery store) and the Cashier talked to me about my business. I have her a mini and told her why I was buying a whole chicken (other than that it was on sale for 79 cents a pound.) She kept saying "30 minutes in the microwave?" I told her I'd come back and let her know how it turns out. I also told her that she could get the DCB for free or for 60% off in October. I'll take a full catalog with me next time and scope her out. I also called a potential host, but she was in the grocery store and will call me back. OR I'll call her later.

so this morning I had a past customer leave me a message with the name & number of a referral. Called the referral and got an order! Called the past guest back to thank her, and let her know that I'm sending her a new SBRC as a thank you. She was so impressed, made my day to feel like I was making some progress with making connections that last. THEN, my host from Saturday called to tell me that she wants to close her show, and she is going to sign TODAY! I'm still waiting on the confirmation that she actually did it.
Then I did made some calls and booked another show for October.

3-2-1I made #3 call with my 4 hosts this week. I called a new client. I called to close a catalog show, closing next week now instead. Left message for a host-to-be to confirm a tentative date we set.

3- Did
2- I have 3 this week
1- working on (Hosts this week- possible recruits)

Great Job Amy and Julie!

I got to my cluster meeting an hour away really early so I sat in a parking lot and made my calls!

Spoke with a host who was supposed to be giving me a catalog show from last month. She said she'll let me know Friday if that is going to happen or not. She did say she'd do one in November for sure though.

Offered the opportunity to a friend who I think whould be great at this. She said no but she'd let me know if that ever changes.

Spoke to the girl who I did a show for on the 10th and she confirmed that "No, she is not interested at this time" to do the business. Then I submitted her almost $900 show.

Left a bunch of messages that I will follow up with tomorrow.

Spoke with a up-coming October host but need to call her back tomorrow (a better time).

Okay, for Monday and Tuesday I have a total of seven contacts, 1 order, and 1 customer problem taken care of.

We had a school function tonight. So I attempted to make some calls earlier, did get in 1 host coaching, and left messages for a few other show leads. But, my last host did sign last night -got the email this afternoon!
