Congraulations, Amy!

I keep losing steam. I had a small show tonight, and I knew it was going to be small. But I was hoping for at least a booking. I asked two of the four people. All four guests had only been living here for a short time. Three of the four will only be here a short time. Also, a potential November date dropped today and an October date dropped for now. Have one more show this week and two next week. Not feeling good about things. Did sell a 7-piece nonstick cookware set to the host. Keep going everyone. I'm not giving up, of course, but I am a little discouraged today.

(((((((HUGS))))))))for you JAE! We all have those days, hope it goes better soon!!! (it will).

I did make my contacts today also.

One potential host (who I had given up on) I called AGAIN and this time she finally answered and confirmed that she was still interested and will get back to me soon with a date (most likely November).

2-3 host coaching calls.

Spoke with another host for October that was originally on the 26th, possibly moving it up to the 6th!!! I sure hope so!

Jae, just remember that there are cycles in this business. You may be in a bit of slump right now, but that could turn around tomorrow. Keep plugging along. The 3-2-1 works. As for me, after I posted my contacts yesterday I got a call from a past host I'd been leaving occasional messages for. She is ready to host another show. We've scheduled her for mid-October. Keep making those calls and leaving those messages. It works!

Ugh! One of my October shows just called to reschedule for November! She just realized that she has a Scouts Award Night she has to attend that evening. I couldn't rebook her for Oct, because I'm full. So, it had to be Nov. :(

I still have a full show schedule for Sept.....but so far, my highest show total has been $350! Seems most of my Sept hosts booked for the 60% off cookware, and really aren't that interested in high show totals......I've had 2 who actually said to me "Oh good, I just wanted to make it to $150 to get the cookware @ 60% off!:grumpy: Host Coaching hasn't seemed to help, either.......4 more show to go this month, and 3 Catalog Shows to close........

The good news is that I have guests lists for my first 5 shows in Oct....and 4 of them have over 40 people on their invite list!

It seems like most of my 3-2-1 time has been spent on host coaching calls lately.....but my director told me if I am presenting the opportunity to them during the calls, I can count it for 3-2-1.;)

Becky,

My shows seem to be low this month too. I think it's just that hosts want the cookware. At least I have 8 of them to balance the low sales, but I would have loved for them to be higher! Good news is that my later fall is looking bright. I'm taking October off for my baby, but I already have 3 shows on the calendar for November, with 3 more hosts who want that month but need to set dates & several others who wanted to book in the fall that I still need to call. I'm hoping for 8-10!

Good for you! I remember the month after I had my baby was a good month for me! I took him with me to several shows - had them booked with friends and family - and the turnout was FANTASTIC! Everyone wanted to come to see the baby! I shamelessly used him for sales and bookings that month!

3-2-1

Got a couple "yes's" for my Open House next Friday.

Collected a $40 pantry order. (gotta love those consumable goods!)

Asked a lady from a recent show to host in October. She said "no" then proceeded to complain about the $30 she just spent on two turners.

I plan in handing out invites to my Open house tonight when I go to church.

Well if their shows over $200.00 it would be great!!! LOL After have a $1000,00 show it's a little frustrating to see just $200.00 in total guest sales :grumpy:

I know how that is. I just submitted a $700 show and over an $800 show then the next day went and did a $223 show. Granted it's not closed yet but the host doesn't seem too motivated. We do need to be greatful that we have any shows right??? Plus the contacts we make are great.

We do need to be grateful for the shows we get.......however.. when I think of it in a larger scale I like my paycheck... but when I look at it small going man I only earned $60.00..... it's frustrating... LOL I will take any contacts I get!!

Had a show Wednesday night, so those were my contacts. No recruit leads, but three bookings. Right now she has over $400 in sales, but I expect her to have well over $500, possibly $600 by the time we're done. One of the guests was also interested in placing regular orders. She lost her consultant about five years ago, and hadn't been to a party since.

Rae: Awwww, that's too bad.....
Guest: But now that I've found you, I've rediscovered how much I LOVE PC.
Rae: Oh, how sweet!
Guest: Yeah, so let's book my show, and I really want to take the kit credit and become a consultant too!
Rae: Really?
Guest: Absolutely!! And I promise to qualify in my first 30 days too!

Ok, back to our regularly scheduled thread..........

"]but wouldn't it be nice if it DID work like that[/SIZE]

zilch, nada, big fat zero on calls/contacts yesterday. Although I did some host coaching.
This is my big downfall.........full calendar = getting lazy on the contacts.
HELP ME!!

Oh, if only! I like the way you think, Amy!

Everybody off doing shows today?I talked with four people today. One asked for a catalog, so I'll be expecting an order from her soon.Funny thing happened as I was leaving Trader Joe's. I shared smiles and nods with a woman trying to wrangle groceries and three kids with balloons to her car. As I turned toward my van with the PC stickies on the windows, she said, "Now, how did I know you belonged with the Pampered Chef van?"Since I was not wearing PC logo-wear (I know; you're shocked), I told her I didn't know. She does DS with another company and asked if we had done a fair or expo together. I told her that I live a couple of hours north of Indy. I have some customers in the area, but I've never done a fair or expo there. We laughed and went to our separate vehicles. We waved as I drove by her and the kids putting the groceries in her car. So, since I have no PC tattoos, and I wasn't mumbling about Simple Additions or stoneware, I can only conclude that I know radiate PC vibes wherever I go. :)

I closed out 2 shows today and got a surprise booking from one of them for a guest who was an outside order - called and left her a message. I got an email from a guest from last Friday night's show and she's interested in the opportunity - I'll be dropping her off some information tomorrow. Talked to my host for tomorrow show - daytime show - looking forward to it - host reallys wants SS cookware! So I guess I've been pretty productive - and I'm racking up those panoramo points!!:)

Rae, you're funny!
I did have a show. I have a potential booking for next summer. GRRREAT! I'm sure I'll need it. Two shows so far this week and no bookings. Sales were good tonight. The host will at least hit the $400 level. I have a show next Monday and Tuesday, and I hope I do something right when it comes to getting bookings!

OKay here is my 3-2-1 for today... I had another show tonight....... booked one show... and sales are a little over $250.00... but she has more orders coming in.......... I have another show tomorrow night!!!

Okay, I was doing a show too! Here's my 3-2-1:

My show is a little ove $400 (minus the $80) past host order of the 12" SS skillet. She still has a couple outsider orders coming in.

Two October bookings from the show IN MY CALENDAR!

1 Potential November show!

The girl who booked for October 29th put that she would like more info. on the business.

Great Job everyone else!!!

Way to go doesnt' it feel good........ ???!!

so yesterday I worked my tail off trying to connect with my team. Had a scheduled coaching call with one, she wasn't home and couldn't reach her on her cell. She never called back. Spoke to 3 others about their biz.

Had a lady approach me in Target about a show and possible fundraiser. Got HER info, and gave her a catalog and my card. That is huge for me, as I usually forget/get flustered and don't get their info!

Went to my a hosts house and helped her sort and bag her orders. She was too overwhelmed, and she has a long commute. I also had to deliver her sales receipts, as she received her order faster than I thought (yeah shipping!). She was so impressed that I would do that. BUT even more importantly, she was VERY impressed with PC. She said that this was the most fun, and profitable home show that she has ever done. AND that it was just too easy! She will be a repeat host I am sure, as she wants more cookware.

Also, talked to an outside order from a previous show who wants to do a mult-vendor show in late spring. Was hoping for October/November, even December, but hey a girl can plan ahead right?

I am so proud of you all for keeping this going! I have been sooooo busy I have been slacking! I finally had a show last night!!! WOOHOO!!! Gosh it felt good to be out there again. I think it was the motivation I needed. The show was great, about 12 in attendance.

A few did not make it because of the weather. I thought for a bit it would be my first show where we were all going to be huddled in the basement "in a center room away from windows" Yeah weather was pretty wild!Sales are right at $500 with only 1 or 2 more orders to come in. I got 3 very tenative bookings but will work on those. 1 is a possible bridal shower in the spring.

I did something new to help keep me on task with asking everyone at checkout. I told them at the end if I did not ask them about booking or learning more about PC they would get a free Seasons best. It made it easier for me to ask because I had told them I would be asking and it was on my mind to do so. I am going to stick with it!

Thanks all you Rock!
