Well I had nothing to report for a whole week because I did nothing. However, I did get a hold of another inactive recruit who is looking at coming back as a hobbiest so I hope I can help her in that respect to come back :) I won't be able to do calls today but have a school picnic that I hope to make some contacts at so we'll see how the night ends. Back to routine tomorrow and daughter goes back to school for half days on monday so I will be able to do more.

I talked with a few people in person today. Great customer connections. The Furry Guy and I are leaving tomorrow morning for a little trip to Cincinnati. I'm taking a few numbers with me so I can contact the people I missed yesterday and today. Other than that, I'll be taking the weekend off.I'll also be away from my computer, so you won't hear from me again until probably Monday morning.Happy weekend!

Have a good weekend Rae! We'll miss ya!

I had my Mystery Host tonight, I had 5 people come (1 of whom being my father) and 2 orders before the party, so with 7 orders I am at $336 in sales right now! Not too bad! My goal is $400-$500, as it turns out after updating all my contact information for people, they still aren't getting the email, so I'm gonna spend some time this weekend making lists of 9 in my outlook account (which I just got through school, so couldn't use it before), so hopefully that will work! It was a fun night though and my house did get pretty clean (I got everything done but mopping the kitchen floor, but it was vacuumed and swiffered, so at least it was something!).

and Ellen, I don't have any recruiting ribbons, my director has never given me any... hmmm... I totally get into getting the stuff at each meeting too (my cluster claps when someone else is #1 as I was getting it so much! and actually it wasn't as fun for me when nobody was challenging me either!), so I'm really sad that I dont' get to go to meetings for the rest of the year :( With the new class that I had to add for grad school it's during my meeting time, so very sad about that :( However another director invited me to her meetings, as they are Tuesday nights, and I would just be about a 1/2 hour late to that one (get out of class at 7), so I told her if I start slacking I may have to come.

That's great on your show Alison!

Okay, just got back from the show I did for my PartyLite lady.....

Only one official booking for October and it's a Combo party with the PL lady who hosted. I've never done a combo before so we'll see how it goes....

I asked everyone to become a consultant. No takers. In fact, the PL consultant who was my host was (and I think is) recruiting one of the guests to her! That's fine and everything, but at least wait till the show is over!

Another girl who left early has the box checked for hosting a show so I will follow up with that one tomorrow! Wish me luck! I need some more bookings.

The Show totals are just under $300! I thought they'd be higher but she said there should be a couple outside orders coming in....hopefully.

Hey Ellen, both our show totals are about the same... too funny! It sounds like your show was pretty good... 2 bookings (with the girl who left early). No matter what the sales are at this show, think of what the spin-off effect could be from this one show :) Way to go!

made some calls last night, was able to book 1 more Oct show.
Did some host coaching, and was able to connect with another potential host/recruit lead but nothing came of it other than building a relationship. I also gave the girl at the drive-thru at McD's my card. She's someone that had been so nice & chatty before that I always kicked myself for not talking to her about the oppportunity, so today when I went thru and saw her I took the leap. Not sure if anything will come of it, but I am determined to break out of my comfort zone and make things happen. Oh, and I totally forgot, I have a catty show going on for Sept that I just got the other day.

Okay....just got back from my show!

So far, almost $500 in sales with a couple OOF's coming in. One booking for December, One catty for November. BUT.....I may LOSE them PLUS an October show that I have because I think the host will sign up to do PC!!!

I'd lose the one in October, (even though she booked at a different show) because it's a friend of the hsot and she wants to try to qualify before the 31st. of October for the pan. Nothing set in stone yet but it looks REALLY good. I don't want to get my hopes up, but even if she doesn't sign, I will still have those bookings so either way it's a win-win!

BTW, the thing I did different was that I used a door prize slip my Director gave me that had an option, "If your host were to sign up to be a Consultant would you help her out by having a show?" She got a bunch of yes and maybes! Then I heard her talking about the 29 minutes to dinner cookbook....so hopefully she'll sign up before the 17th! (or is it the 15th?)

1. I went to McD to follow-up on a potential recruit. Off today. I'll touch base Monday. Heh, tax deducible breakfast when doing my business.2. Met a consultant for another company, invited to my holiday bazaar I'm arranging. She used to be a PC consultant. Has former clients she's going to put me in touch with.3. Got a random call for placing an order. Talked to her about catalog and online e-invites, made that order into a catalog show. (Sad news- Had all her information written down, left on couch with calendar, paper was gone after I left for an errand. We can't find it. My husband actually went through our entire garbage can today (trash day) to search for it. Didn't find. It has to be somewhere! Pray that I find it, or she calls me back after not receiving the packet as I promised. We talked for over 45 minutes!!!

Good luck Julie!!! Let us know as soon as you find it. That would so stress me out!

Do you have caller ID ..?? TO call her back???

OKay I jsut got back from a show a couple of hours ago... sales are a little over $200.00 but it is not closed yet... Booked one show for Oct!!!!! WHoo!!

Tonight was the night for shows I guess! I can't wait till the one I have on Monday. It's for a girl I just met at a show last month! I wont know anyone there and LOVE to get new contacts!

I did make a few calls this morning. Talked to a host from last month who wants to try a catalog show for September to get 60% off cookware and left a message with another one. No orders, yet. Left a message with a potential fundraising host. Called someone to book a December fundraiser and she didn't answer. I opened and closed a catalog show today, and I earned 421 cookware points from that. I'm up to 1036 points total, and my September is just beginning. My goal is 5000 points so I can get the 7 and 5 piece Exec. cookware sets. I would like the 10" SS Saute Pan, too, so I could use another 850 on top of the 5000. I have a show for the next three Tuesdays, one Thursday and one Monday. Hope to sell lots of cookware. Every single one of those shows is from me doing the "3" in 3-2-1.

I got a lot of machines today but did speak to some actual people. I spoke with an up-coming (Sat.) host to make sure things were in order there.

I left a message w/a potential booking. (Will follow up Mon.)

Spoke (again) with a potential Octiober booking that wanted me to follow up w/her this month. She's still not ready and wants me to call back in a couple of weeks.

Talked w/a past host and invited her to my Fall Open house at the end of the month. I sent her off the new catty today with specials flyer thru. December.

did a show yesterday afternoon. 1 booking for Nov (she's also interested in the biz, wants the kit credit). 1 potential fundraiser, and 2 other potential bookings from people who couldn't make the show but told host they are interested. I'm thinking that 4 bookings from one show is a definite indicator that the host should sign! So I'm really going to talk with her in the next few days before we close her show.

Set a date for an October show!!!

Still need to make two more contacts though....

I don't try to do PC on Sundays, but I had to hand out product to some people at church. I saw a catalog show host, and she has a potential booking for me to call. Yea!
Ellen, you are doing great, BTW. Am I remembering right that I met you at conference? Wave 1, Suzie Lite, Selling the Dream.

How long do you go before giving up on potential bookings from shows that won't call you back? I have a show from April that wrote on her outside order that she wanted a show. Called her--too busy call back. I've been calling back for several months now & she won't answer her phone or return my calls. The other one is from a July show. She marked on her dpds that she was interested in a show, but left before placing an order so I didn't get a chance to talk to her. Started calling the next day & she has never answered or called me back. When do you just give up?? I'm not desperate for bookings & these are both out of town, so I'm thinking forget it if they don't have the courtesy to answer the phone or call back.

Yep, we met at Suzie Lites class and I was sitting right next to MomtoEli.:D That was a good class.

I have 2-3 just like that! I finally got the machine (again) and basically said, "This is Ellen with The pampered chef. I just wanted to follow up with you since you told me you wanted to host a show. Please call me at.... if you're still interested because I don't want to keep bothering you if you have changed your mind of if it's not a good time." This is after I have called over 5 times with NO response. I never heard from either one again. I even offered (on the machine) a new catalog even if the time was not right. No response. Good luck!

SO I had my show on Friday night... booked one more Oct show...... and its still open!!!! :D

This is what I do too. I usually try about 4 times. I want to do what I can to get in touch with them, but I don't want to hound them. I also tend to wonder what kind of hosts they will be if it's this hard to book a show. Not to say that all will be bad hosts, but it is a red flag. Oh, and I ususally keep a note that I left that message and then call again in about 6 months or so. (By then they have probably forgotten my name and will answer my call again:D )

I don't ever give up, but I do stop calling as I don't want to annoy them. BUT having said that, I send new catalogs, recipes, and specials. I keep my name & PC in front of them periodically. It has paid off too. I also had a potential host from an April so, she FINALLY booked for Oct. I know that I have often told someone that I would host a party for them, and it has taken a long time to actually do it (life happens), but I do it.

Maybe I'll go ahead & call one more time leaving a message that I don't want to bother them if they've changed their mind. Then each season, just mail a mini catalog. I don't want to waste my time with this when I have people who WILL answer my call!! Thanks!

I am really looking forward to starting the 3-2-1 soon. I haven't because I've been pregnant all year & every time I wanted to, I was too tired or something pregnancy related came up. But I'm due in 5 weeks, so with my September shows, I'm starting back up with ccc & obviously have lots of other past customers from this year to call when I get caught up on current customers. It's been so exciting to read how well so many of you are doing with the 3-2-1!

Well, my weekend was fabulous! I feel all rested and relaxed, and I'm ready to jump right back in with my contacts today!I made some host calls on Friday and stopped to check on a host on Sunday evening, but I don't really count those as contacts. I also spent about seven hours on Saturday with Katie and Tina. We talked a bit of PC, but I don't count those as contacts, either. :)

Just got home from a show....

Asked everyone there about the business opportunity...no takers

Asked everyone there about hosting a show....maybe a catalog show...maybe.

The show totals are over $600 with orders still coming in. The host totals are higher b/c of the past host's booking benefit. So far from this show, 295 pan-o-rama points. Plus the host is still deciding which set she wants.

Before the show, I collected one of my catty hosts show. Only about $170 or so. I'll take it....better than nothin'.
