I didn't talk to any live people today :( What a bummer to end the week. It was so explosive at the beginning and nada at the end. Oh well. I hope it is because of the labor day weekend coming up and the end of summer coming near. All I have to say is I am getting better at leaving messages on machines. I still have to close a cat. show and another is still open. Frustrating, but what can you do when you got zilch! At some point Lord give me a COOKING SHOW!

I'd love to join in this thread. I swear by 3-2-1. When I entered July, I had only 1 show which cancelled. In three weeks I added 16 shows to my calendar. I carry my calendar everywhere with me. I wear my PC shirts. This has been the biggest "talker" for me. I talk PC everywhere I go. I go back to work next week as a teacher. I needed to have my schedule in place. I am happy to say that I am booked for September and October (actually went over my 8 show a month plan). All my shows this month and Sep./Oct. will be Nov-Jan. Shows. Yeah! This is the first in two years.

I didn't talk with anyone on Saturday. I took a putter-around-the-house day. I'll be back on the phone and out in public on Monday.

I'm in too!! I definitely believe in 3-2-1. At the beginning of July I had one show scheduled and it cancelled. Within 3 weeks I had 16 shows on my calendar. I now can say for the first time with PC, I am booked for Sep and Oct. I'm over my 8 shows for each month.

WOW Julie! That really help show How 321 can make a difference! Thanks! And welcome to our thread!

321 does work!

I too have a full schedule for the first time EVER for 2 months in advance! In fact, I am looking at my calendar, and negotiating w/ DH, to open up more dates for Sept & Oct - because all of my dates are full!
This weekend was the MetroCruise here in GR (Think Woodward Dream Cruise - or a gigantic Car Show from one end of the City to the other!) and because I had a full schedule, and had a successful Fall Preview Tuesday night, I had decided to take the rest of the week off as vacation. I was contacting hosts and that type of thing - but not purposely working on 321.
Yesterday, we were at the Cruise all day (From lunchtime til 10pm) and although I had my Catalog Tote w/ me w/ a couple Host Packets in it, I wasn't wearing any PC wear or pins or anything. We pulled into a spot to park and sit and watch the cruise w/ some fellow "Mopar" friends. I sat next to Barb - who in the past has shown absolutely no interest in PC. She saw my bag and said "so what's new with PC?" I showed her a catalog, and she she says "Do you mind if I look at it while we are sitting here?" DO I MIND???
She then proceeded to oohh and aahhh over every page - and had NO IDEA that PC has cookware - so I of course had to tell her about how much I love the Executive Cookware.....and then, even though I KNOW I have no open dates for Sept - I told her about the Sept Special. Her next words were "It's been so long since I've been to a show - I think I'd like to have one!"
Umm, so I booked another Sept Show - gave her a host packet - and now have to find a date on my calendar when I can actually do the show!

the 321 thing is becoming 2nd nature to me! I think in the past I would have handed her a catalog, and been done with it - but instead, this time, I followed the conversation to a very natural feeling conclusion. The thing that is most exciting about this booking is that it opens up a whole new potential group of people as customers, hosts, and potential recruits! (Oh - one of the single guys sitting by us heard us talking about the ice cream scoop and said that he would order on from her show, and then another couple came and sat with us, and she told Barb to make sure and invite her to the show! - my 3 contacts!)

So, although I wasn't really planning on doing 321, by being just a little prepared, I was able to achieve it even on a "vacation day"! What fun!

Sorry - don't know why that posted twice!

But I did want to add that this was also a great booking, because DH was sitting next to me the whole time. He is a supportive spouse - but still has reservations about a job that has no regular schedule or paycheck. Every time we are out and someone randomly books a show or even just gets so excited because I sell PC, or if we run into a past host or customer who wants to chat with me, it raises PC in his estimation as a "real job".

Thanks for the words of wisdom and inspiration Becky! You rock!

I'm in too! I will keep you posted weekly on progress of my 3-2-1. I swear by it. I had only one booking going into July, which cancelled. I stepped up my business and within 3 weeks I had 16 bookings on my calendar. I am booked out for Sep/Oct. I talk PC to everyone I meet!

Becky, you rock! I have to work on my "advertising" with shirts and a bag. I dont like to wear the shirt for many reasons, and I don't have the bag. Maybe I need counseling....

Y'all I have been so down since ALL (but 1) of my August shows cancelled/rescheduled, that calling people has been at the bottom of my list (I had made calls to get those 6 bookings!)... reading so many people's experiences with 3-2-1 is starting to pick me up again! In fact, I think I need to get on the phone tomorrow (I would tonight, but I had a stampin' up party today, and was running around like a chicken with my head cut off all morning and didn't eat, and now I feel like crap, as I ate, but I ate a few bbq pork mini sandwiches and some touchdown taco dip and some grapes and strawberries... not things my tummy is a big fan of... So tonight, I will do work on my upcoming shows, wash dishes, wash clothes, so that tomorrow I have no choice but to make calls!) (I know, I know I am making excuses, but after touchdown taco dip, the last thing one wants to do is make calls as your tummy makes calls of its own :yuck: !)

And your office is so well organized now Alison - how can you not make calls?

September will be easier than August. Personally, August is always my toughest month!

This month was my worst month ever!!

And I agree with getting some kind of catalog tote. I booked a show tonight from a lady I met at Costco last week who saw my bag. I felt really bad, because the first available date I had (on the day of the week she wanted to do a show) was at the end of next month, but she's still happy that she'll get the cookware special! BUT, I am so happy that my calendar is filled, that I'm doing a major happy dance.  I really wanted to fill my calendar so that I can focus on recruiting, recruiting, recruiting!

so, back to the topic, my calls today consisted of:
2 recruiting calls - one to yesterdays host who is taking kit credit, and the other one will call me Tuesday after she gets her fall ball schedule so we can set up a time to meet.

2 no answers:thumbdown: & 1 call resulted in a new sept show!

school starts tomorrow,so I'm hoping to make my contacts while I'm out and about, as I'm sure it will be hard to keep people on the phone tomorrow night!

Okay, I have 47 phone calls to make tomorrow. I'm hoping to get some out of the way with an e-mail. It's not exactly 3-2-1, but I have to make the most of my time. Of the 94 people I've invited to my Fall Preview show, I have to call 47 whom I haven't heard from. Then, I have to call the ones who are coming to remind them they are coming. Right now, that's 14 calls. I hope I get more coming than that.

It has been a while since I posted on this thread (partially avoiding becauase I thought I wasn't doing it) partially time has been flying by.

I know I have been doing some contacts each day but not really at least 3 but then again I have not be counting.

I did a booking blitz tonight and made 20 calls and finally got 3 human beings. No shows booked but have faith that a couple will work out. Hopefully I am back on track.

Plans for tomorrow, follow up on forged cutlery calls, people who purchased Tiles SA, and other discontinued items then to follow up more for previous cookware purchasers.

After the calls, I started reading trying to catch up where I left off on this thread and read and read and read everyone's success. I have been in this business long enough to know this without reading but now reading everyone's success of applying the 3-2-1 reinforces to me that everything we do today will come back to us for the next 90 days. If we work our businesses everyday then every 90 days we can look back and see it. Why am I saying this - - - maybe to reinforce in my mind that it does happen. I made the calls tonight so I believe if I keep it up I should be back on track where I want to be.

Great job you guys and I hope that I can get better at checking in with both more steady positive results.

Okay, back from my brother's college graduatuion in Las Vegas. I didn't plan on making contacts but I made one. I met a lady who ordered pampered chef from me before through my SIL's party. I got to meet her in person and give her the new catlog. I won't be able to do any shows out there since my SIL moved back to Cali, but I think she will remain my customer. (At least when my SIL has more shows for me).

My Dad's visiting but I will be on the phone tomorrow!

I'm thinking of squeezing a Fall preview in the middle of the month but don't have a TON of new stuff to show. I'm still debating.....

I don't make Sunday calls (just a personal choice), so I didn't do any 3-2-1. However, I have a list of calls to make today, I'll be out and about as a walking PC billboard, and I'm attending a recruiting workshop this evening.I thought I'd share something that was part of my morning reading. I read success-related materials every weekday morning. It's part of my routine. I use various resources, some are books, some are e-newsletters, etc. This one was part of a Ron White email. I'm paraphrasing for time and space.
Five frogs are sitting on a log. Four decide to jump in. How many frogs are left? You probably said one. Actually, you may have said none, since the fifth frog would probably have joined the crowd. However, the right answer is none. Deciding doesn't do anything. As a man once said, "Aimin' to don't pick no cotton."
It's great when we make a plan. 3-2-1 is a perfect example. The plan only works, though, when we actually do it. So, I will execute my plan for the day. No excuses. No procrastinating. I'll check back in when I'm done. :)

Ellen, do you have anyone close by that you can borrow products from? A director or cluster mate? I know that my stuff is "on loan" right now for a couple Fall Previews - and I am more than happy to help out those close to me - I bet your director or someone else would be glad to help you!

This is much better put than what I have tried to say earlier. I know I can want and say I am going to do but unless I do - nothing happens. I started last night with 20 calls and I look forwar to checking later today and saying I made calls again.

As long as I have the effort, I can't get down on myself, right?

Well, it was a busy day - the first day of school and communication issues with the YMCA where my son was to be going after school and then a begging and pleading child to go to the game store. I guess sometimes I have to just be me and make up for the calls tomorrow.

I hope others had some more success than I did.

Okay, I didn't call last night. I have been having a rollercoaster type weekend. However, my DH has been wonderful these past two days by taking the reins at home and it has helped out my mood tremendously (sp?) Anyway, I made 14 calls today and got 2 live persons. One took a message and the other is my friend's dad who loves PC, but needs to check with his wife to make sure it's okay to have a catalog show. I will follow-up tomorrow. So no 3 but close and I'll take it :). Tomorrow another 3!

I made my contacts today.

1. Ran into a girl that goes to my church at Walmart and shared about how Pampered Chef has been a great job for me. I'm bringing some info about the business to church on Sunday!

2. Followed up with a host that I'm doing a show for in Sept.
3. Talked to another past guest who will be giving me an order tomorrow!
4. Talked with a lady who was doing a catty show for August. Still wants the knives but my not be turning it in till September now. Oh well.
5. Spoke with a lady who is going to do a October catty show for me. Just as a CCC call and making sure the catty show was still on.

Nothing too exciting but there's always tomorrow!

Good luck to everyone else!

Thankfully, my friends responded to my e-mails, so it saved me some phone calls. Unfortunately, I only connected with one live person on the phone, asking if she'd like to have a show because she isn't coming to my preview. She will know if she has a free date after her meeting tonight with her cluster. She is a director with Creative Memories and kiddingly asked me to speak at her meeting tonight. She says she wishes her consultants would work as hard as me. That was a nice compliment:)

Wait! I forgot about the friend who called me to book a catalog show for September 1. She is going to order $150 in product so she can get the 7 Piece Executive Cookware for 60% off! Yea for me!

That's great JAE! Maybe you should speak at your friends meeting! You nnever know, you might recruit one of them! LOL!

So I just got back from my show tonight... 12 people there... only 4 ordered... with OOFs we are at $310ish... however, I have a maybe Sept catalog show, a maybe Nov cooking show, a Definite Feb bridal shower, a def next summer bridal shower, a maybe from a past host (she had to leave early, so we didn't get to talk about, but I'll call her), and someone who took the information, but said she wouldn't want to sign until Spring. I told her I would call her this week and we can set up a time to meet next week (she said this week is too crazy to meet). and the host's mom is purchasing cookware with her daughter's host special... the exec. 7 piece set (as a booking benefit at a show in 3 weeks), and the 10" SS saute pan on this show. So now I am at 981 for points! yippee! I also got 2 complements on the show, so that felt nice.

Plus I talked to my dad last night (he suprised me and stopped over) and he is for sure placing an order at my mystery host next week and is for sure going to be getting the 7-piece set of executive if someone doesn't want their host special...

Overall it wasn't such a bad 24 hours... tomorrow is errand day and I am taking my cousin to the waterpark... you can bet I will be sportin PC wear and using my PC beach towel! :)

Way to Go Alison! I love it when I make all my contacts at a show! Looks like you made good use of your time! Let us know how the water park goes tomorrow!

Hey!!! I wanna PC beach towel! Where did you get it???
