This was a rough day for contacts!! :cry: :cry: Did talk to 2 possible recruit leads - both shut me down real quick. Talked to one potential host, no date set and not sure if it will ever pan out. Then I just got machines on all my CCC. Which, I'm not surprised as it is a big church night here. Did manage to get some mini catalogs ready to mail out to others. Guess I'll be following up on those soon.

I called a few people today. I talked to three, at least, and one said "no" to my fall preview show and "no" to having a show. One said "no" but call back in a couple of months. One is coming to my fall preview show next week and will decide if she needs anything. If she does she will book an October show. Of course, she needs something! So far, I have about 10 or 11 coming to my preview. I have many, many more people to call. Life is so busy right now. It's so hard to be on the phone so much.
 
I made more than three with nothing good to report.

1st potential recruit relplied to my many messages with a "too busy now, but in the future" e-mail.

2nd potential recruit--Not ready yet.

Handed out two more cattys at DH's school. No bookings.

Talked to my one and only recruit. She has 1 catty show next month but never got her change-over kit so I had to give up 10 cattys for her. She only needs one more show to qualify! (It's been a year though) We keep having to give her the leave of absences so that's probably why she didn't get her change over kit.

Another CCC call was a "no" to recruiting (she used to be a consultant) and a "not right now" to having a show. I will send her a new catty though.
 
I called 9 people today and got 1 cat. show from the only person who called me. Slow night, but didn't realize it was a church night. Maybe I will take Wed.'s off and do the rest of the week instead. I am only calling from 7-8pm so I think 6 days out of 7 isn't bad. So the count is 3 cat. shows for Sept and 1 for Oct. My goal is 10 cat. shows per month until I can get those cooking shows booked locally. Here's to thinking positive :) and I know I will have luck when the hard work is done ;)
 
I Just got back from my show.... Sales are a little over $300.00 so far... 1 booking...
 
Made lots of calls. Talked to several people. Had an August show reschedule for September (no big deal, and the host is a possible recruit :) ). Made a sale. All in all, not a bad evening.
 
Not doing much for calling today. Having a get together tonight. Had a child's dr. appt and school sign up this morning into the noon hour. Kids' friends over now. I'm eating my lunch and on the computer for a few minutes until back to cleaning. Hopefully, I'll make some calls before I have to make dinner in 20 minutes for the fam. They are eating ealry and I'm making a 29 minutes to dinner cookbook recipe.

I haven't done much since my show on Tuesday. Called a couple hosts - dropped off a couple host packets - Oh, and called a couple people who were supposed to be at my Show, but didn't come. THAT resulted in 2 more bookings for Sept!:D I sorta knew it would - both of them had said they would book at the show. One of them is with a friend of mine who is pretty flaky - but she always manages to pull off a $1000 show for me!:balloon: WE need a smilie w/ Dollar Signs for eyes!
 
I don't know how my 3-2-1 will go for the next 3-4 days. Going out of town tomorrow for my bro's graduation. I'll try to do all my contacts today as 'live" ones since there will be no phone time for me today. Check in with you all after the weekend!

Add to all that, I just took my 10 year olds temp. He has a 101.2 fever! He's in bed. Took his friend home. Trying to make dinner - Beef enchilada...
Tonight for company I'm making the Mexican Chocolate cake. Right now I'm waiting for the hamburger to thaw because I forgot to put it in the frig. yesterday. I'm a little scatterbrained myself!
 
Not a good day for calls today, I made about 12 calls and no one booked, of course I only talked to about 3 of them, left messages for the others and will try calling again tonight. The ones I did talk to said to call back in a few weeks, one lady has poison ivy, the other ones friends daughter died :( so sad, she was only 1 mo old!! Ugh, i feel so bad for that family!

gotta go, daughters making a fuss!
 
Well, no calls, but i had a good Custom Framing Event (Creative Memories). I can't believe people spend that much money on mats and frames. I wish people would spend money on cookware. Maybe they will. I have to keep calling.
 
I spoke with 2 of my upcoming hosts today. Need to get back on the phone. I did talk with someone yesterday at JoAnns when I was running errands, but she already had a consultant... I haven't been feeling myself lately (I need to see my dr... have my appt scheduled, but forgot when it is!), and know when I feel better everything else gets better. I need to keep trying though... slow and steady is better than nothing at all!

Today I did a lot of office organization. Still have stuff to do, but at least now everything has it's proper place! By the end of the weekend I want my office to be set, my house cleaned, and stuff ready for my show on Monday night!
 
Okay I made... five calls today.. four of them up coming host. And one was a return phone call back to someone who had call me about hosting a party!!! While my husband and I were out car shopping today, I was wearing my glitter T-shirt that says PC on it.. and the car sales person asked me about it so I have to go back tomorrow and bring catalogs to the dealership...LOL!!!! One of my September host rescheduled for Oct show... her orginial show was on labor day :eek: no one would have came to the party!! But she wanted a show at the beginning of the month so we had to move it to Oct. She wants a huge show!!!! :)
 
Well the excitement has died down tonight and I only had 2 live contacts. Oh well, tomorrow I am going to try harder and see what happens :)

we were doing the same thing last night, and I was really ticked at my DH because I was telling him that it was cutting into my prime calling time! Of course the salesman that we ended up spending the evening with kept on raving about his friend that sells PC :yuck: :yuck: - At one point my DH was finally like, "Dude, we know! How about you give us a great deal and my wife will get you a great deal on some cookware" :thumbup: Had to laugh.
Anyways, I was able to manage 2 host coaching calls, and talk to 2 other potential hosts, both said to try back later. I marked off some more "no's" on my NO Chart, looking forward to getting closer to a yes, AND my reward for asking (New earrings;) ) Still feel pretty good though.
 
Made my contacts. Possible fundraiser for September. :)

Did you make your contacts today already by 8:21 AM? Oh my! I did talk to four people about coming to my fall preview show next week. I didn't actually ask them to have a show or give them business info. 3/4 are probably coming to the show, though. I'll definitely be asking everyone who comes.

Do you know what you are making yet?
Angela (remember the girl who came and sat next to me at the meeting - who has a new baby?) came over today and borrowed a bunch of my stuff for her Fall Preview tomorrow. She hasn't done a show in several months, and is so nervous! She took my DCB to make the 30 minute chicken (to help w/ Oct bookings) and it made me wonder if you have the DCB? Do you need to borrow mine for your Fall Preview Show?
 
I would love to borrow the DCB. I'm also thinking I should have the new oval platter with cranberry accents. Do you have that? I want to make my table look pretty :) Or, do you ahve the rectangle platter with Cranberry accent. I actually have the white rectangle platter, so the oval one would be nice. I have everything else except for the gravy separator. Not too concerned about that, though.

I remember you were debating getting the DCB.
I don't have the Oval - but I have the Cranberry rectangle. I also have all of the SA stands if you want to borrow those. And all of the Dots Stuff (last season and new) for Serving. I actually have all of the SA if you need if for serving food.What day is your Show?
 
Tuesday is my show. It's actually Wednesday morning too. I've had so many people who can't come because of school things. I decided to offer Wednesday. I have about 8 coming to both times right now.

Not to hyjack this thread... But what kind of car were you guys shopping for??? I handed out another host packet today .... and a couple of catalogs the nurse at my doctors office wanted a catalog!!! All becasue I was wearing a PC t-shirt... of course I have three glitter t-shirts!!! :)
 
I talked to 2 live persons today and have an order with a possible winter show and no bite on the other. Machines again today. Off again until tomorrow. I will be at a cooking demo at our food bank garden center. I am looking forward to it and thank goodness I have an old PC shirt that can get dirty plus attention at the same time. Pray for good results ;)
 
So I literally did nothing today (I didn't even change out of my pajamas! :o ). Well, I guess that's not totally true... I made big headway on my office overhaul... I went through 4.5 boxes full of stuff that have been sitting in here (2 of which were my supply order) -- 1 of those boxes I have had sitting here since I moved in last November! The last 1/2 a box I will tackle tomorrow, along with my file cart. I have no doubt my house will be ready for my Stampin' Up party on Monday! Oh yeah, I got all my paperwork ready for my show on Monday night! Yay! Now I am off to eat something with chocolate in it :love:

Alison, I swear I love those kind of days!

I remembered that I did talk to a the owner of the Tollhouse Cafe here across the street. I put up my business cards and I am going back to put up a host flyer on their neighborhood bulletin board.

So that makes 3! Oh, now I will sleep better.

My brain is not all here today. I literally spent 40 minutes going to take the kids to a fountain to play at that is across the street by the cafe which is only a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive. I ended up taking them to one that was closed for movie night that's 20 minutes away. Needless to say I got them mixed up but what a day! Hopefully tomorrow is better.

I'm always a day behind on my postings, so, no. Those were the contacts from the day before. My Friday contacts resulted in a probable September catalog show. :)Thankfully, I made my contacts in person in the afternoon, since it was storming here all evening. I don't do the phone thing during lightening storms.

Gonna try to follow up with some other recruit leads tonight. we'll see......

Oh, and Leah, DH wants us to get a van. I'm not sold on it. Know it's the best thing for the family, but I just can't get excited about it.
