I mentioned that I will be having my mystery host in a few weeks (she won my last one) and she was excited! I also spoke with the guy checking my out at Office Max. He took my mini-catalog and kind of liked the idea of a cooking show for him and his bachelor friends who don't know how to cook. I didn't get his contact information, but I was pretty proud just for talking with him, as I wasn't "in the mood" if you know what I mean. I just put a smile on my face and did it.
Today I talked to 2 people at Target (they both approached me -- I was wearing the sparkly shirt from merrill)... I gave them a mini catalog and spoke with them briefly, but I didn't get contact info, as I was not feeling so well and wanted to get home -- if you know what I mean...
I also made some booking calls and booked another date in August and finally got a hold of my cousin (previous $1,000 host!) who has been out of town, but doesn't use email/voicemail/caller id/any sort of thing from this century. She is calling me tomorrow during the day, so hopefully we can set her date... I have 1 date open in August still (the one a friend had to cancel), 2 dates if I really want (it would mean 3 days in a row of shows followed by a road trip to visit friends...).
I left a message for someone who wants a September date, but I didn't have my calendar set at the time.
Oh yeah, I spoke with a friend who did a show last October for me, who used to be a consultant, and asked if she knew anybody who needed cookware and she said "we do!". I mentioned the host special and then we got cut off when her husband's aunt came over. We will talk this week (we talk almost everyday anyway...)
Today was pretty good and it put me back in the calling seat![]()
And I organized my office a bit last night, so that come my crazy schedule I know where everything is and it all has a place!

One did not answer the phone, another one said her September was busy, that she'd probably book in October, she has to look at her calendar, and for me to call her back tomorrow. Another one said she'd have to check her calendar, which was at work, and if I did not hear from her, she would let my neighbor (who is her co-worker, the original host) know, so that doesn't sound too positive. The 4th person was eating and asked me to call back next week.
