Are the gratuities on the Bronze level cruise paid for by the company? My DH remembers my reading that to him, but now I can't find it.

Yes. Pampered Chef is paying the gratuities too! All you pay for is alcohol and any excursions you choose to add.

Thank I was just looking for that info also , I though I remembered from the last cruise but I was not sure . Can't wait only a few more days

Thanks, Beth! I think I'm losing my mind sometimes! That's such a nice perk-love that! I hate paying gratuities on cruises because some of the people are never even seen but you're still "expected" to pay for them. And Doreen, I can't wait either! I'm so looking forward to not having to cook for 3 straight days and gambling!!! (Love the onboard casino-DH and I don't care for the Bahamas so we'll find lots of other fun things to do!).

As on any trip we take -- on PC trips, we always leave tips here and there for good service (especially to the room staff). It's appreciated and we enjoy doing it -- so don't feel obligated, but know that they will accept it graciously.PC tips are included -- the staff will all receive a part of that. The specific tip you leave with the specific staff will stay with them.Have fun!

Oh we tip nicely! But haven't you ever noticed on some cruises they want you to include tips for people you never saw and have no idea who they are? And I'm getting "tipped" out. People are expected to tip everything anymore, for example, hair stylists. Aren't you already paying for the service? I had gone into teaching and I don't ever remember teachers getting a tip. Or how about a policeman who comes to your aid? Or the firemen who help you? Or the military who risk their lives?

I tend to agree with you. We met some people from Australia on a cruise and we were talking about tipping. They don't tip there because they "pay their people a living wage".

While I agree that teachers, firemen, policemen and military deserve much higher wages than they get (pay them more and give politicians less, or the CEO less...) I do know that waiters get $2.15 per hour plus tips and are taxed on the restaurant's total revenue for the day/night whether they got the tips expected or not. It's a sin what they are paid especially since most people have no clue that they make so little of a base salary. I didn't until my son started as a waiter but now I do pay closer attention to tipping. I don't know about hair stylists, etc so I can't speak to that but please be sure to tip your waiters. ...and whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner they still just make $2.15 per hour plus whatever people tip. Fast food restaurants do pay minimum wage though since tips aren't expected there.
