The paper towel is definitely necessary because my eggs were popping and would have made a mess without it.

Store for later use. When you want a single cake mix 1/3 cup of the dry mix in a bowl with 3 TBSP of water. whisk together and pour into 1 well of egg maker. Cook 1 minute on high in microwave..top with fresh fruit or pie filling and cool whip!!! If you want to make 2 at a time it takes about 1 minute 45 seconds.
