What's the story behind Colleen's new picture?

I have seen several people compliment Colleen on her new avatar, both here and on CS, so I decided to start a thread so she could give us the specifics of it in one place!

When I met Colleen at Leadership, she no longer had long hair, so it is nice to finally "see" you as you are now!

Thanks so much! You're all very sweet! The picture was taken last Friday at my friend's birthday party! My old pic was from 2002 so I figured it was time to upgrade to a new one! I'm great at taking pictures of everyone else and realized that I didn't have one of me since a family trip last summer. Finally nice to have one that is actually what I look like now! Thanks again!

I actually had short hair most of my life... my mom kept all of our hair short (my 4 sisters and I) when we were kids... and I went through the punker phase in high school (yes... at hs graduation I looked like Pat Benatar... head band and all). Then I finally grew it out and in Feb cut 12 inches off of it to donate for Locks of Love.
