I can't find a pre-lit tree anywhere!! My tree died this year and I was looking forward to picking one up at a great discount!! I can't find any trees on sale at all! Did everyone buy two this year or something??

I love after Christmas sales too. I went to Kohl's on Tuesday and bought a pair of Dockers and 5 tops and they all cost me $100.78. I thought that was a good bargain. I have a clothing allowance at work so I thought maybe I would turn it in. I did get a couple of gift cards for Christmas and I may have to use them while the sales are still going.

I went to Kohls and had $50 in Kohls cash and got Dave two sweaters, some neat retro things for the kichen, like salt and pepper shakers from that look like they are from a diner. Then, I went back and got two French Cafe Good Fortune glass teapots, where you put the leaves in and let it steep in the pot. I have been all over Lnt! LOVE THAT STORE!

Is it just me or did all Trees die early this year??? It's been incredibly warm and dry her in CA!! In the 80's just 2 days ago! My mom's was 1/2 dead when she brought it home, SILs same thing, she said the same thing with her freind and my brothers tree was dead too!
We got lucky and found a very GREEN tree on Dec. 1st and it's still beautiful! But for the most part everyone's we know died really early!

Gladly!! It would be nice to get some "Winter Weather" here in SoCal!!! This year seems very dry and HOT with lots of Santa Anas going thru! I'd love some coolness here! I swear it's only rained 6 days this year total!!

Gillian, I have an extra one that I picked up NIB 7 1/2' tall that I bought. It is more lifelike than any of the ones I have seen. Interested?

I always wait until Target has their 90% off sale!! (Not sure exactly when it'll be, I think usually 1.5 to 2 weeks after Christmas? Or any holiday, for that matter!) I love getting a bargain! Last year I got X-mas napkins for 20 cents per pack and wrapping paper for 30 cents per roll...can't beat that! Well, I guess the selection by then is much much smaller, but sometimes you can still find good stuff.:D

Valky-

Where did you pick one up from? I'm in the search for one too.... We usually fair towards real trees, but after several years of doing that, we're just tired of the needles and the mess. This year our tree died (completely brittled out) by the 2nd week we had it home. It became such a concern, that towards Christmas, we didn't keep it lit very long for fear of burning down our home! That reason and more, we're in the search for a good artificial tree. So, I'm curious as to where people are finding them! This is the best time to get them - AFTER Christmas for the next year! ;)

My after Christmas loot!I went to the Tommy Hilfiger outlet and got $600 worth of clothes for $300 b/c they were all half price.

We have bought tons of Christmas decorations at Walmart.

I went to Goody's and got the SAME portable DVD for $59 that everyone had to be there at 6AM the day of Thanksgiving for! I am so excited about that. It has been awesome when my son wants to watch Thomas the Train and we are watching tv I just pop the DVD in it and put it on a stool. He loves thinking he has his own DVD player! I also got him a jacket for next year at 60% off.

I bought my husband a gas grill at Sears for $189 that was on year-end close out. It was regular $400!!! He is so excited! and me too b/c he helps do a lot of the cooking when he has a grill. Works great for both of us!

I got a nice 6 or 6.5 foot pre-lit tree from Lowe's, before Christmas, for a regular price of 69.00. I searched for awhile, and it was one of the fullest and nicest of the artificial trees, and the best price. Hope that helps.

I know a lot of people who are switching to artificial trees! I got mine at JC Penney last year before Christmas. I usually put my tree up the weekend after Thanksgiving and take it down the weekend after New Year's. That is too long for a real tree. FIRE HAZARD too. I was also sick of cleaning up the needles. You can never get them all up. I vacuum and vacuum and I end up vacuuming more until at least July.

Heather, I got it at Walmart at a drastic savings. I bought 3 of them 1 for me, my sis and mom....she didn't want it because she doesn't want the hassle of a big tree. It is a Delaware Pine and made out of mostly rubber (I know, it sounds wierd but that is what makes it so realistic). I had the "bottle brush" type artificial tree that I hated (it shed just as bad as a live tree) so I finally sent it to the boneyard.

Hi Gillian:

Last yr. after Christmas I bought a pre-lit Christmas tree then moved/bought a house. Luckily I didn't put up the tree as I had a pipe break in my wall and my entire living room was saturated. I instead found really cute things that lit up and hung in windows ea was only & 6.84 and well worth it. I had to take the candy cane back as I didn't have a window left for it!!! I bought an angel and snowflake for main window and then an ivey for other window, so now I have a tree but not sure where it will go :( I paid about 30.00 for it and it's about 6-6.5 ft. I think it's the Douglas Fir look???

I'd let it go if anyone's interested, but I"m sure the s/h would kill most :(

I'm not too big into shopping, but I do have to say I needed some new shoes for leadership, so I went to DSW shoe warehouse (I'm not sure if those are everywhere or not) and got some GREAT deals! I got a pair of brown leather Tommy Hillfiger boots (a little higher than ankle boots) that were normally $70 for $40. I also got some other black leather shoes (Kenneth Cole) - kinda like penny loafers, but with a bigger heel - normally $50 bucks and they were $20! I was proud of myself.

I did the Kohl's thing today too and got to use my $20 Kohl's cash. I got about $150 worth of stuff for about $70! Very cool.:D

Thanks for the offers ladies! I don't think it would work to ship it because I will spend as much as buying one new... I didn't think of Lowes or Home Depot- maybe I'll check there tomorrow!
