I would like to send out an email to my cluster giving them creative ideas on how to use up their old catalogs. Any clever ideas besides dropping them off at Dr.s office, car repair shops....

If I have any left I will save them so that i can use the pictures for Bridal shower wish lists or housewarming parties. I cut out the picture and glue it to color coded cards, attatch to dowels and make a "floral" like basket for the wish list items. Obviously not all the items will be available it would be a good place to start!

I am attaching my document that I print my labels from.

I put this on my old catalogs to leave them places.

Very cute Jennifer. I have a label that says for a current catalog contact: ...
I also put safe secure online ordering 24/7 with website info.

That's a really good idea, I have lots of old catalogs!! Do you use any of the old catalogs cause the bunch that I have are from fall/winter of last year?? Have you had any problems with people wanting something out of the old catalog that is no longer available??

I haven't had a problem b/c have them in my car to leave and keep forgetting to leave them, LOL!:D

Well then I guess it's time for me to make some labels for my old catalogs and start leaving them everywhere I go:P

I use the same poem as Jennifer, but I add the lines:

If extra income is what you need,
I can help you to succeed.

(I can't take credit for that. I got it here - I just don't remember who posted it.)

lol. that's a good line to add.

Fairs, vendor boothI would definitely give them out at large vendor booth events, fairs, bridal expos, etc... That way you aren't really out any money on new catalogs for people who might never contact you or order anything.

I would also use them for dropping in bags of customers who ordered from me with a label similar to Jennifer's.

Debbie :D

So you think giving out the old catalogs at a vendor fair is a good idea?

If you have old ones, use them at fairs instead of "wasting" new ones. 95% of the people who take material at a fair will NEVER contact you again. Why throw good money (in the form of catalogs) at them if you've got old ones lying around?

Cool, I will use them for that also. I have a vendor fair coming up in the near future!! Yea I'm getting all excited now that I have materials I can use... I also have some older recipe cards that i'm going to use.
