Has anyone else run into this? My oil spritzer no longer mists my pans with oil, instead it shoots out a stream of oil.

Any suggestions? Or is it time for a new one....

Wipe the nozzle with a cloth with warm water. And let the air out after you use it -- so pump it, do your spraying, and twist the top a bit to let the air out. Keeps it from clogging.

Every now and then they just need a thorough cleaning, too. A good idea is to clean it well when you fill it. That will get the build-up off the nozzle, which can cause streaming.
To clean it, just soak the pieces in warm water for a few minutes, then dry.

I soak mine in warm water with a little vinegar or Greased Lightning type cleaner (just a tiny bit). It seems to help get it "squeaky" clean again. I try to soak it at least every time I need to fill it back up (which is every few months).

Hi there! I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your oil spritzer. I haven't personally encountered this problem, but I would suggest checking the nozzle for any clogs or buildup that may be causing the stream of oil. If that doesn't solve the issue, it may be time for a replacement. Our products are designed to last, but sometimes wear and tear can occur. If you do end up needing a new spritzer, I would be happy to help you find the perfect one for your needs. Keep cooking and happy spraying!

Frequently Asked Questions

What causes the oil spritzer to have a weak or inconsistent stream?

A weak or inconsistent stream from your oil spritzer can be caused by several factors, including clogged nozzles, insufficient oil pressure, or using oil that is too thick. Make sure to clean the nozzle and check for any blockages. Additionally, ensure that you are using the appropriate type of oil that is recommended for spritzers.

How can I clean the oil spritzer to improve its performance?

To clean your oil spritzer, disassemble the spritzer according to the manufacturer's instructions. Rinse the parts with warm water and use a soft brush or cloth to remove any residue. For stubborn clogs, you can soak the nozzle in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly before reassembling.

What type of oil works best in the oil spritzer?

It is best to use oils that are low in viscosity, such as canola, grapeseed, or sunflower oil. Avoid using oils that are too thick, like olive oil or coconut oil, as they may clog the spritzer and affect the spray quality.

Why is my oil spritzer leaking?

Leaking can occur if the spritzer is not properly sealed or if there are cracks in the container. Check that all parts are securely fastened and inspect for any damage. If you find any cracks, it may be necessary to replace the spritzer.

How can I increase the spray distance of my oil spritzer?

To increase the spray distance, ensure that the spritzer is filled to the recommended level and that you are using the correct type of oil. Additionally, pump the spritzer firmly and consistently to build up pressure before spraying. If the nozzle is clogged, cleaning it can also help improve the spray distance.
