I'm doing a show in a couple of weeks at a Hair and Bodywork Studio. My massage therapist wants to have something, once a month, to get people to the shop for something other than having their hair done or massages and to get other ppl to go to the studio. So there is no "kitchen" so I'm planning on making recipes ahead of time and setting up a table for people to see/try products and take orders, etc. It will be a drop-in kind of a thing rather than a sit-dowm demo show.
I'm thinking about making a flyer that Anna (the host) can give to customers. Does anyone have any ideas for clever things to say? I'm trying to put a spin on the pampering thing but I got nothin'! Also, do you have a suggestions for good make ahead recipes and any other good tips for this kind of a show!
Thanks! ~Kacey

No thoughts?

Tuxedo brownie cupts, shrimp cerviche cups, strawberry amaretto pastries--anything that is a small bite-sized piece so people can sample. You might also want to bring a potato, tomato, banana, lemon or lime, garlic, kiwi, nuts, etc. to have people try out the mandonline, food chopper, garlic press, egg slicer plus, etc. Then you don't need to bring everything. Bring one item from the cookware, SA, stoneware, and Forged Cutlery so they can see those products. And always your tool turnaround. You might also want to find out if the shop owner wants to do this as a fundraiser for her favorite organization which changes each time you come in, or for herself. Good luck with it. You might also want to think about different days of the week each month because there are some people who have standing appointments and you'd see the same people if you came on the same day each time.

Hi Kacey,I think it's a great idea to have a pampering event at the Hair and Bodywork Studio! It's a unique way to showcase our products and reach a new audience. For the flyer, you could say something like, "Indulge in a little pampering for your taste buds with our delicious make-ahead recipes at the Hair and Bodywork Studio!" As for make-ahead recipes, I would suggest our mini quiches or stuffed mushrooms, which can easily be prepared ahead of time and served as bite-sized treats. Another tip for the show would be to offer a special discount or promotion for those who place orders at the event. This will incentivize guests to make a purchase and also create a sense of urgency. I hope these ideas help and I'm looking forward to working with you on this event!Best,
