Does any one have the Rice Cooker Cake recipes typed up and ready to go?

The consultants in my area will be setting up a booth at our county fair starting Monday - July 17 and I heard about these recipes. I wanted to try them before we actully made them at the fair.

I just don't have time to type them up in a recipe form.

Thanks for your help.

I Killed Pam Perchef!!!!O...M...G!! I just saw this thread and HAD to make this cake. I cleaned out my rice cooker, whipped up a red velvet cake, and made my own frosting! After 8 minutes I pulled it out, stuck a knife in it, pulled the knife out clean and dumped it out onto my celebrate plate. I spilled HOT bright red cake mix all over my clothes, floors, counters and sink. It looks like a murder took place here! I saved what I could out of the mix and am going to try again in a minute, but I had to share. DO NOT DO THIS AT A SHOW WITHOUT TRYING IT FIRST AT HOME, EVEN THEN OVERCOOK AT YOUR HOST'S HOUSE!!!!

Maybe next time! It turned out horribly. I am SO glad that this wasn't at a show!

Here is a file I have on that I give to my Rice Cooker Customers. I have never posted an attachment so I am giving it my best shot. :)

Frequently Asked Questions

What are some popular rice cooker cake recipes I can try?

Some popular rice cooker cake recipes include chocolate cake, vanilla sponge cake, lemon drizzle cake, and banana bread. Each of these recipes can be easily adapted to suit your taste by adding ingredients like nuts, fruits, or chocolate chips.

How do I adjust baking times for different rice cookers?

Baking times can vary depending on the wattage and model of your rice cooker. Generally, most cakes will take between 40 to 60 minutes. It's best to start checking for doneness around the 30-minute mark by inserting a toothpick into the center; if it comes out clean, the cake is done.

Can I use a regular cake recipe in my rice cooker?

Yes, you can use a regular cake recipe in your rice cooker, but you may need to adjust the baking time and possibly the liquid content. Rice cookers tend to steam rather than bake, so recipes that are too dry may not work well. Consider adding a bit more liquid or using recipes specifically designed for rice cookers.

What ingredients should I avoid when making rice cooker cakes?

Avoid using ingredients that require a lot of rising, such as baking soda or baking powder in excess, as rice cookers may not provide the same environment as an oven. Also, avoid overly dense ingredients that can weigh down the cake, such as heavy fruits or too much chocolate.

How do I clean my rice cooker after baking a cake?

To clean your rice cooker after baking, allow it to cool completely. Then, remove the inner pot and soak it in warm, soapy water for a few minutes. Use a soft sponge to gently scrub away any residue. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads to prevent scratching the non-stick surface.
