Hmm. My secret - have the host provide a lot of wine and when people ask questions..look cute and have a confused look on your face. Seriously though, on one hand it was great because sales were awesome, but all of those ladies were PC veterans so no one was interested in booking a show (except for the host). At one point this woman came up to me and asked if I could show her how to use the PC can opener. I looked at her and the crowd and said "Uhmm...probably not - but I'll bet all the guests here can!"

I have had a few of those really great sales shows and nobody books, and then I have ones with mediocre sales and lots of bookigns. I think when I had great sales, I had a bunch of women that had enough money to spend on whatever they wanted and didn't care to get the discounted products. Make sure to try to sell the FUN as well as the benefits! I'm still working on that!

CONGRATULATIONS on an AWESOME show!

That is awesome, what a way to start off with your first cooking show!! Keep it up.I had a host, that did the same thing nobody booked except herself!!

Congratulations! Hope you will follow up with lots more of the same! I had to wait til my 6th month, (22nd show) before I had a thousand dollar show. What a great start you have! We will pray you can keep up the pace.

I'm so inspired! My first cooking shows are next weekend, and I"m really nervous! In talking with people, I'm finding that playing a little dumb really gets them talking about their favorite products and really starts a good conversation going with a group. They've talked about different ways they use the various products, which are must haves, and have "explained" to me how to use them. It's amazing how persuasive some ladies can be. It's as if they do the selling for me. I really like that! :) Way 2 go on that awesome show!!!

Thanks for sharing that and Congratulations! I have my first cooking show is next weekend too! I'll be happy if I do half the amount you did! I am so nervous now just thinking about it, but I'm sure that I'm thinking it up to be more difficult than it will be. Hope the next one is just as awesome for you!

Great Job! I bet all of those guest are going to be GREAT hosts. ;)

thanks for all of the kind comments! the other thing I did that really helped was practiced in front of my husband...a few times. And he had great feedback and it helped to organize my thoughts and how I was going to say everything.

Awesome first show:) Keep it up!

Wow!! Congratulations on such a great start to your business. You're on a great start to an incentive trip as well with double points month!!
