Prayers for My DH's Gastric Bypass Surgery | Liquid Diet Prep Tips

In summary, gastric bypass surgery is a weight loss procedure that involves creating a small pouch at the top of the stomach and connecting it to the small intestine. A liquid diet is necessary before the surgery to shrink the size of the liver, making it easier for the surgeon to perform the procedure. Allowed foods on the liquid diet include broths, protein shakes, sugar-free gelatin, and sugar-free popsicles, and it is recommended to follow the diet for at least two weeks. Tips for preparing for the liquid diet include stocking up on clear liquids, avoiding solid foods and high-calorie liquids, and seeking support from friends, family, or a support group.

DH is going to have gastric bypass surgery on December 8th. However, in order to prepare for the surgery he has to go on a liquid diet two week's before, that's this Tuesday, November 24th. He confessed to me yesterday morning that is the only thing he is scared about is this diet. All of the other stuff he can handle.

I know he is going to do great, however, any prayers for him would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks ladies and gent's.

Have a great day!

P.S. We had our Thanksgiving dinner last Saturday evening. It was prepared by all 4 of my boy's (DH & the 3 kids) while I was a show. It was awesome! :D

Prayers being said. That is a very brave and valient step for him to take charge of his health and his life going forward. I wish you all well!

Prayers said. I hope everything goes well.
