There is this girl I've been trying to recruit for awhile. She's still on the fence b/c of constant family crisis. She asked me a question about P3 and Windows 95 (I feel old b/c I remember when that was brand new). She has a personal computer w/XP on it and internet. If she signed on, she would use that computer to submit orders. However, she'd like to use her laptop, which doesn't have internet, and have P3 loaded on that and any other PC files that way she could take it everywhere with her. Her laptop is old but works but it has Windows 95 on there. Will P3 work w/ Windows 95? If it won't work, then do you have any other suggestions?

I hope I made sense.:blushing:

Ok, I'm confused. She wants to load P3 onto her laptop, but not use it to submit orders via the internet? She wouldn't be able to submit orders on her pc with XP unless she puts P3 onto it - but then she'd be entering everything twice???? This doesn't seem logical to me.....

I do the same thing with my laptop and desktop. However, I use the desktop to print my receipts, because I'm having a difficult time with my printer driver and Vista.

You don't have to input the data twice. I back up P3 to a data disk's and restore it to my desktop. Viola'! Everything that is on my laptop is now on my desktop.

However, to answer the original question, I'm not sure if that can be done. I bet if ChefAnn checks in she will have an answer.:)

She would have P3 also loaded on her personal computer which does have internet, and submit shows that way.
She'd only use the laptop as a way to store files and to take with her to shows to input orders with proper calculations. Then she would back that up on a flash drive, load it on her personal computer and so on.
Is that better explained?
Sorry, I know my explaining can confusing.

CHEF ANN!!!!!!!!!! HELP!:o

It is not compatible with Windows 95.

On Consultant's Corner, it says the minimum requirement is Windows 2000. Here is the link to the Pampered Partner Plus page on CC, and if you click on the link on the left side of the page that says System Requirements, you can see the minimum requirements and what is recommended.

Thank you!!

I have a new consultant that will have to mail in orders, does any know what form they use to submit a show. Is the form on the printable material cd?

No. She'll need the Show Order Form, which is available on Supply Order ($3 for 10).

Ooo, that seems expensive. But, I guess it would take a lot of orders to equal the cost of a new computer.

I have a host w/o a working phone. She uses a cell phone and doesn't always have minutes available. DUH! I should have put my phone number for the RSVP's. I stopped by her house today to leave a note for her because I don't know how else to reach her. I think she needs to start selling PC so she can earn enough money to buy phone minutes for goodness sakes. She has three kids, so I don't know how one can't have a phone available. I am going to talk to her about doing PC, and she doesn't have a computer. That's how this post is connected to this thread, BTW.:) I am guessing I may have to let her use my computer for her shows until she makes enough to pay for one for herself. She works at Taco Bell very part time. Becoming a consultant has to be a better way to go for her. We'll see what happens.

You only need one show order form per show, so even if you're doing 2 shows a week, that's only one pack a month. I'd be more concerned with a recruit who doesn't have a phone to contact hosts.

I know. That is also a concern of mine, but she needs to make some serious money. Her dh works second shift, full time. They must be able to afford more minutes on the phone. They really need to make a choice, here. She's young, sweet, and needs some "mentoring", I think. Her dh is, too. Doing a show or two a week would pay way better than a part time, fast food job. She could make her schedule instead of the manager. She ends up working the closing shift, too. Yuck. Anyway...

I agree with you, JAE. If nothing else, this would be a great way for her to get a little more money in the family budget and have more control over her schedule.
