I'm a new consultant and my 30 days are up on the 28th!! My 4th show just postponed on me. Help!!! Anyhow, the only thing I thought of to do is to host a catalog show myself. Any advice on how I should go about getting people to order? I was thinking about making a flyer w/discontinued items and sending out so people can order from my website. I don't know what else to do. Any suggestions are welcome!!

That's what I had to do. I sent order forms to my BF's work to get some orders, plus started asking some of my kids' friends mom too. Also there's some threads on pampering a business this may work as well.

I've been e-mailing people all morning. I'll have to try that pampering a business thing. I saw a flyer on here yesterday about it. Thanks for the tip!! At least there is stuff that I wanted to buy so I can add to the show if I need to.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a catalog show and how does it work?

A catalog show is a type of party where guests can browse a catalog of products instead of attending a live demonstration. As a host, you collect orders from friends and family over a set period, usually a week or two. You can showcase the catalog online or in person, and once the orders are collected, they are submitted to the company for processing.

How can I effectively promote my catalog show?

To promote your catalog show, utilize social media platforms, email, and personal invitations to reach out to potential guests. Create engaging posts that highlight popular products, share recipes, and offer incentives for orders. Consider hosting a virtual event or a live Q&A session to generate excitement and answer any questions about the products.

What are some tips for collecting orders during a catalog show?

To collect orders effectively, make it easy for guests to browse the catalog and place their orders. Provide clear instructions on how to order, whether online or through you directly. Follow up with reminders as the end date approaches, and consider offering a small incentive for those who place orders early, such as a discount on their next purchase.

How do I ensure my catalog show is successful?

To ensure success, set clear goals for your show and communicate them to your guests. Offer a variety of products that cater to different tastes and needs. Engage with your guests by sharing personal experiences with the products and encouraging them to ask questions. Lastly, follow up with thank-you messages after the show to maintain relationships and encourage future orders.

What rewards can I earn by hosting a catalog show?

As a host, you can earn various rewards based on the total sales generated during your catalog show. These rewards may include discounts on future purchases, free products, or exclusive items. The more orders you collect, the greater the rewards, so encourage your guests to shop generously!
