I need a kick in the a@@!! I have lagged this month with Christmas and my other job. I did Craft fairs in November and had little luck with getting a hold of people for follow up, after the fairs. I am scared my leads could be dead or gone cold you know?

Since it has been so long does anyone have a script I could follow to make my calls? I am planning on doing some POWER CALLING on Sunday. So please help me out with this I would really appreciate it.

*kick!* (that's your kick in the tushie)

When I let things slide and have to call people after a while, I usually say something like:
Hi, may I please speak to ____? This is Ann with The Pampered Chef. We met at ______________, and I want to apologize for not calling you sooner. We've got great host and guest specials in January and I wanted to make sure you had the opportunity to take advantage of them, since you indicated you liked our products/wanted to host (whatever they checked off).

Is chocolate your pleasure? My director gave each one of us a jar filled with m&M s. Every time we made the contact (3 each day), we get an M&M. As the jar dwindles, you can see your success as will your calendar.

that's a cute idea, BUT, i would eat 10 M&M's for each contact!! lol jk

My jar is hidden. I have two younger children who would eat them up. I'm behind this week on my contacts though. My director is calling me Monday and I really want to have my 21 contacts checked off.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is power calling in direct sales?

Power calling refers to the practice of reaching out to potential customers or leads who have previously shown interest but have not made a purchase or engaged recently. It involves making a concentrated effort to reconnect with these leads, often using a structured script to guide the conversation and maximize the chances of reviving their interest.

Why should I revive dead leads?

Reviving dead leads can be a cost-effective way to increase sales without needing to find new customers. These leads have already expressed interest in your products or services, which means they are more likely to convert with the right approach. Engaging with them can lead to renewed interest and potential sales.

What should be included in a script for power calling?

A good script for power calling should include a friendly introduction, a reminder of previous interactions, a brief overview of current promotions or new products, open-ended questions to encourage dialogue, and a clear call to action. Personalization is key, so tailor the script to reflect the lead's past interests and preferences.

How can I make my power calling script more effective?

To make your script more effective, practice active listening during calls, be prepared to handle objections, and maintain a positive and enthusiastic tone. Personalize your approach based on the lead's previous interactions and feedback. Additionally, follow up with a thank-you message or additional information after the call to keep the conversation going.

What are some common objections I might face when reviving dead leads?

Common objections may include the lead being too busy, not interested anymore, or having found alternatives. It's important to listen to their concerns, acknowledge their feelings, and provide solutions or incentives that address their objections. Being empathetic and understanding can help build rapport and encourage them to reconsider your offerings.
