Thanks for the info! I knew someone could answer my question.dcypcar.chef said:No the honing tool is only for our forged steel knives. Every brand and type of knife has a certain angle and if you intercange our honer with other knives you will ruin the blades. don't use another honer on our knives either because it will mess up the blade. The sharpening rods that come with some knife sets are next to impossible to use since you have to have just the right angle of the knife to the rod for them to do their job. I once heard it was 32 degree angle. I wouldn't know how to create that angle or any other exact angle with the rod and the knife.
It might help if I answered the questionsDebbieJ said:Do you have the Forged Cutlery one or the Self Sharpening one?

If your CK knife isn't cutting properly, first check if it needs sharpening. If the blade is dull, you can use a sharpening tool designed for your knife. If the knife is still not performing well after sharpening, it may be eligible for warranty service.
The warranty period for CK knives typically lasts for a specific number of years from the date of purchase. Check your original receipt or Pampered Chef's warranty policy on their website to confirm if your knife is still covered.
The warranty for CK knives generally covers defects in materials and workmanship. This means that if your knife has a manufacturing flaw that affects its performance, it may be eligible for replacement or repair under warranty.
Physical damage, such as chips or broken blades due to misuse or accidents, is typically not covered under warranty. However, it's best to check with Pampered Chef customer service for specific guidance on your situation.
