I wanted to use the idea from here about showing the recruiting DVD at shows. For those of you who are doing this; how are you approaching this? Which parts are you showing? Are you finding it successful?

Anyone? I would love to hear more about this too!

I used it at two shows on my laptop while I was getting things ready and guests were just arriving. They didn't pay one bit of attention to it. I guess I could ask the host to play it on her DVD player, but I don't know how I feel about that yet.....

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the key strategies for using my DVD effectively at shows?

To maximize success at shows using your DVD, ensure that you introduce it at the right moment during your presentation. Use it to highlight product features and benefits, and to showcase cooking demonstrations. Engage your audience by encouraging them to ask questions during and after the DVD presentation. Additionally, personalize your approach by sharing your own experiences with the products featured in the DVD.

How can I encourage attendees to sign up for my team during the show?

To encourage attendees to join your team, highlight the benefits of becoming a Pampered Chef consultant during your presentation. Use the DVD to showcase success stories of other consultants and the flexibility of the business. Offer incentives for signing up at the show, such as discounts or exclusive products. Make sure to have sign-up forms readily available and be prepared to answer any questions they may have about the opportunity.

What should I do if attendees seem uninterested in the DVD?

If attendees appear uninterested in the DVD, try to gauge their concerns and address them directly. You can also ask engaging questions to spark their interest or relate the content of the DVD to their personal cooking experiences. Consider incorporating interactive elements, such as live demonstrations or tastings, to complement the DVD and maintain their attention.

How can I follow up with leads after the show?

After the show, follow up with leads by sending personalized thank-you notes that reference specific conversations you had with them. Include a link to the DVD or a related video to keep them engaged. Schedule a follow-up call or email to discuss any questions they may have about the products or the business opportunity. Consistent communication is key to converting leads into team members.

What are some common mistakes to avoid when using a DVD at shows?

Common mistakes to avoid include relying too heavily on the DVD without engaging with your audience, playing the DVD at an inappropriate volume, or failing to connect the content to your personal experiences. Additionally, avoid using the DVD as a substitute for your own presentation; it should enhance your message, not replace it. Always ensure that the technology is working properly before the show to prevent any disruptions.
