Earlier this year, I attended a bridal fair. I got many, many leads which I'm still following up on.One person I called was the mom of the bride ... she gave MY BOOK to her daughter and told her to sign up. She DID! Only thing is ... I never got the registry. My guess is that she went to The Pampered Chef, Ltd. and signed up without entering a consultant's ID. (It's possible, but not likely, that she entered my recruiter's number, but I think she would have told me if that was the case.)While I was frustrated, I ended up kicking myself because I did not call her sooner! On the bright side ... I made a LOT of calls and have a couple of potential registries and bridal showers ... called another mom and found out she's looking for a unique wedding shower idea for her daughter! So I am sending them both a packet in the mail. (I had spoken to her daughter and sent something by e-mail but mom says she's not online much.)(Oh, and I have a booking, too. Too bad it's a 90 mile drive away! I keep telling myself that's still a half tank trip!)

What do you send?

The packet includes:

A book
A letter explaining the registry
A print-out of the online registry form
A spring wish list
A self-addressed stamped envelope

So if the bride decides she would rather not go online, she can fill out her name and that of her intended, wedding date, e-mail and stuff .. and go through the wish list, draw a line through whatever she doesn't want, and mail it back to me.

These cost me $2 to mail, not including the catalog, so I only send them to people who are REALLY interested.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are some effective strategies to attract more leads at a bridal fair?

To attract more leads at a bridal fair, consider creating an eye-catching booth display that showcases your products. Offer interactive demonstrations, provide samples, and engage visitors with fun activities. Additionally, have a clear call to action, such as a contest or giveaway, to encourage sign-ups and follow-ups.

How can I follow up with leads after the bridal fair?

After the bridal fair, promptly follow up with leads through personalized emails or messages. Thank them for visiting your booth, remind them of any special offers, and provide additional information about your products. Consider scheduling a follow-up call or inviting them to a virtual cooking demonstration to keep the engagement going.

What types of promotions work best for bridal fair attendees?

Promotions that resonate well with bridal fair attendees include exclusive discounts for event participants, bundle deals on popular products, and free gifts with purchases. Offering a limited-time promotion can create urgency and encourage attendees to make a purchase or schedule a consultation.

How can I leverage social media to maximize my bridal fair leads?

Leverage social media by promoting your participation in the bridal fair before, during, and after the event. Use platforms like Instagram and Facebook to share sneak peeks of your booth, live updates from the fair, and post-event follow-ups. Encourage attendees to tag you in their posts and use a specific hashtag to create buzz and increase visibility.

What should I include in my booth to make it more appealing to brides?

To make your booth more appealing to brides, include visually appealing displays of your products, such as cooking demonstrations or beautifully arranged product setups. Provide informational brochures, recipe cards, and business cards. Additionally, consider having a comfortable seating area for discussions and a sign-up sheet for newsletters or exclusive bridal offers.
