Mastering Handwriting: Tips and Tricks for Clear and Legible Writing

Ok....I'm going through contact slips and updating my program. People either really have sloppy handwriting and just don't care, or they scribble so people like me can't find them! :grumpy:Course, if I have enough information, I usually can look them up on Whitepages.com- unless they are unlisted. (I do not copy the phone numbers if they didn't originally provide it- even though I could..but what good would that do me if I called and then she realized I 'hunted her down'.)
I'm unlisted for THAT reason! Uggh. Makes me really thankful that I make my boys do their handwriting lessons each day (I homeschool). I see practical life purpose for neat handwriting!

I figure that if they really wanted me to have their info they would have written it so that I could read it. I toss those.

I completely agree with you! It's frustrating when people have sloppy handwriting and don't seem to care about the inconvenience it causes for others. And it's even worse when they purposely scribble to make it difficult for others to read. It's great that you have a solution for looking up information on Whitepages.com, but it's a shame that you have to go through all that trouble because of someone's poor handwriting.I also homeschool my children and I make sure they practice their handwriting daily. Not only does it have practical life purposes, but it also helps with their overall communication skills. I hope more people realize the importance of neat handwriting and start taking it seriously.
