Anyone done one?
Instead of focusing on cooking...with holidays coming up...how about focusing on entertaining and doing some of the Debi Lilly things...

I do this every fall. I use a combo of the SA products (and with the new ones it'll be even better!). I also use woven pieces, oil dipping and cheese board/knives and such.

I have a pretty display that we also use to serve the food. This year I'll decorate the trifle bowl and put tealights in the petite squares to enhanse the table.

I have been making the cheese truffles, bread and oil dips. There are a lot of new recipes that I can incorporate into this for 2007.

So what exactly do you do? Is there just food prepared ahead of time and displayed with our products or do you do an actual demo?

Where is the recipe for cheese truffles?

I love this idea. Guess I should buy some more SA and other entertaining pieces though :)

It is little individual cheese balls...yum! Do recipe search on consultant's corner. It is listed under use & care recipes. You can print it out if you don't have the card.

There are some great pics in the holiday mini catalog on CC. One has the Oval Platter set up to hold the Tangy Pepper Pecan Brie. The Brie is in the small oval baker, set on a towel on the platter. The rest of the platter is filled with toasted bread. It looks really nice - classier for entertaining than serving it on the large round stone.

I thought that picture was especially pretty. In my October Newsletter, I am going to offer the "Entertaining With Ease" as a special November only show.....featuring SA of course!

I have most of the display in place and then I finish up a recipe or two (depending on what we're doing) mostly demoing garnishes to WOW their friends.

OOO!! Those Cheese truffles would be good to show the new coating trays!
I'm surprised at the success of those already! I don't even talk about them!
They'd be a good hands on recipe...mmm they sound good!!

Do you guys think it's possible to do an "Entertaining with Ease" show without a lot of SA? I hardly have any, but I love the idea of doing this type of show.

If you use the decorating tips from Debi Lilly that are on CC - you only need a few pieces.....you should check that out!
I'm thinking of the 3 candles using the rectangle server, and the flowers using the dots bowls....and then she also does some pretty pieces with the Trifle Bowl.....

I was gonna say the Trifle Bowl! LOL
and use the catalog...
what SA pieces do you have? even one small square with one small bowl...and a candle, ribbon, marbles, etc...will give the idea without a huge spread, it would save money on those decorations too...

Last night I did a show where the host wanted a SUPER SIMPLE show. She had just bought a bunch of strawberries at a local Costoc.

I suggested the cool and creamy chocolate fondue (available at the recipe search).

Put a medium SA bowl in the middle of the oval platter with cranberry accents, placed strawberries around that, and then filled the SA with the chocolate fondue (done in the microwave). YUMMY and PRETTY.

I got TWO bookings for October for folks who now "just have to have" that platter!

Talk about it for turkey and ham but SHOW it with other stuff to show flexiblity...that is the ticket IMO.
