Well, it finally happened to me. I booked a show. Got really excited. All ready. Offered to do an express show where I p/u the ingredients...

Found out that there were going to be 2 other sales type ladies there... ok, moved past that...

Got there on time, set up, great host!

3 PEOPLE SHOWED UP!

The whole night! Babysitter, food, supplies, gas, 40 minute drive....:(
This was my first one to flop....

I'm over it... really:o

Thanks for listening.

Isn't that so frustrating! I had one last week as well that was a flop. I had 2 other people there....and then one other finally showed up (at least she spend $100!). My total sales that night........$163!!!!! At least my host is really wanting to get the cookware for 1/2 off so she saidshe would really try to get to $300. We'll see. I guess we just have to expect that from time to time! :(

Keri: You crack me up! Hey, at least you got it over with early in your business!

I had a show just like that. It was a friend too . First she kept changing the date than she wanted to do the show her self - me. Then the show came and I get there 2 people come my sales were 50.00 in total I was so pissed

AND TO TOP IT OFF THE HOST NOW MY EX FRIEND STOLE MY CLASSIC BATTER BOWL.. oh by the was she said well maybe her daughter took it out side to play in the dirt w/ it . What a B*tch

She called me this week telling that I had to order her avon stuff. I said sure and then didnt even call her back

forgot to mentionforgot to mention even that 2 people showed they both booked a show:p on my ex friend
:D

Don't feel bad Keri, I was about to post the same message. My show today was floppy too. Host had 9 RSVPs but only 2 showed! And with their orders and two outside she's still only at $86! She's going to really try to get to $150...hope she can do it as she only has until Tues (wants Oct host special). If not, I guess I'll add her to another open show I have and I hate for her to miss out on that but what else can I do? I'm really bummed, but at least she was only 10 mins away.

Lisa, she can close past the 31st and still have the October special. She actually has until the end of November. I wouldn't give her that much time, but give her enough time to have a $150 show.

Thanks Evelyn, that helps to know if she's close...I can let her know I found out I have until the end of the week or something :)

That would mean that it would count towards November commission though, right? May not want to do that as I'm at 24% this month and for my trouble I'd rather make the higher rate!! I've never had 24% before :D

Thanks all!

I have a catty show I wanted to close by the 31st b/c this is my SS#2 month. Well now I won't make it. I'm not too concerned b/c all I really wanted was the mandoline and DH said I could just order it. So if I turn in the Oct. show the first week of Nov. I know it doesn't count for SS#2 but will it for #3?? and my Nov. comission?? How does that work...
Thanks

It must be floppy show day because I had almost the exact same thing happen. My host had 9 RSVP's off of the website and several others by phone, all but 4 people cancelled at the last minute and she had no outside orders. Her show is at $127, so she's going to work on getting a couple of outside orders to at least get her up to $150. She's 11 minutes away from me, so it wasn't too bad (even though I would have rather stayed home and napped...this was my 3rd show in 3 days and I'm exhausted after lugging my stuff up to the 4th floor at yesterday's show...stairs are NOT my friend and it took 2 trips to get it all up there...that show is at $558 with more orders coming in, so I'll live...LOL).

MBH06, if you turn the catty in in November, it will count for your SS#3, but it will not count for the November sale-a-thon, because the show must be held in Novmeber and submitted by Dec 5th.

You always have until the end of the NEXT month to get the specials; the show just has to be dated for the correct month. It would count for your Nov comission, but not for the sell a thon! Hope she gets lots of orders for ya!

I hear ya Jennifer. I would have rather stayed home. I probably could have caught up on work for my day job this weekend but was too pooped to think about it.

Thanks Lacy! I almost don't want to give her much extra time though. I think she'll just drag her feet. And since I have another show I could add them to it would be OK I think.

I feel your pain!
I was invited to do a "multi vendor open house" party - It was Silpada, Discovery Toys, At Home America, etc....
I received ONE order. That's right. ONE. (cheese grater & grate container)
I was a bit annoyed. (brought crackers & Buffalo Chicken Dip and also Spiced Pumpkin Tartlets) Oh well. Ya win some, ya lose some, right?? UGH! :(
