...it wasn't stainless. It was a shinny plastic that looked like stainless.

Hi Everyone, I know this thread is a year or so old. I have a customer asking about the carafe. Do any of you have a new one still in the box?
She was asking if it has a glass liner and prefers it be made in Germany...not China
