I had someone ask me if we sell those stone looking thingys that you are supposed to rub & the garlic smell comes off your hands.... I said I did not think we sold them, but wanted to double check here.
Thanks!
PS: I told her with our garlic press, there is no need to touch the garlic, so no smell - but she still wanted the stone thingy. LOL

Nope - the "thingy" is actually a piece of stainless steel. Whenever I need to have bigger pieces of garlic and end up chopping them, I just run my hands under cold water while rubbing them on a piece of stainless steel silverware. Be careful using knives this way...rub your fingers on the dull edge!

Thanks! :)

SinkYou can also rub your hands against the sink if you have a stainless steel sink! :-)

Or are stainless steel mixing bowls!!!

The Garlic Press works the same as those little stones! Use it for your garlic then use it for your hands!! And if that isn't enough use some Lemon & Rosermary Hand Soap!

I love that most of our tools have more then one use!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the stone thingy that removes garlic smell from hands?

The stone thingy you’re referring to is likely a stainless steel or a specially designed stone that is used to neutralize odors, including garlic. When you rub your hands on it, the metal or stone helps to bind with the sulfur compounds that cause the smell, effectively removing it from your skin.

How does the stone work to remove garlic smell?

The stone works through a chemical reaction. Garlic contains sulfur compounds that are responsible for its strong odor. When you rub your hands on the stainless steel or stone, the surface interacts with these compounds, helping to neutralize and eliminate the smell.

Can I use any type of stone to remove garlic smell?

While some stones may help reduce odors, it’s best to use a specifically designed odor-removing stone or stainless steel product. These are engineered to effectively bind with the sulfur compounds in garlic, providing better results than regular stones.

Is the odor-removing stone safe for all skin types?

Yes, the odor-removing stone is generally safe for all skin types. It does not contain any harsh chemicals, making it a gentle option for removing odors without irritating the skin. However, if you have sensitive skin, it’s always a good idea to test it on a small area first.

Where can I purchase a garlic odor-removing stone?

You can purchase a garlic odor-removing stone at kitchen supply stores, online retailers, or through direct sales companies like Pampered Chef. They often carry specialized kitchen tools that include these types of odor-removing products.
