The forum discussion centers around the value of the Free Conference promotion for March compared to the 2009 Incentive Program. Participants express mixed feelings about the promotional offer, which allows attendees to earn PC$ based on their sales, with some noting discrepancies in tax reporting on 1099 forms. The consensus highlights that while the March promotion offers a lower sales threshold for earning the conference, it also provides an opportunity for participants to gain PC$ for supplies. Overall, the discussion emphasizes the importance of attending the conference to receive non-cash benefits.

NooraK said:The fine print for the March promo says that if you earned Free Conference in the 2009 Incentive Program, you will then receive PC$ in the amount of the discount you would earn.
ChefBeckyD said:Which I find especially exciting!I already have free conference, and I had over $300 in PC$ from the Dec. promo...and I'll be out by the time March rolls around, after buying new Spring Supplies, and new S/S product I may want.
I'm very happy that PC is giving us this alternative!
wadesgirl said:The sad part is you don't get them until August  I was a little worried to see that they offered it since I too earned it but was glad they offered something extra.

Because she's fine with getting PC$ to use for supplies and things. She's mad because the stated value of the free conference in the March promo is $200, and the free conference value from the 2009 incentive is on her 1099 as more than that. So she's mad that she's being taxed on a greater amount.
Just goes to show that some people will find the negative in any situation. Rather than being happy that she's already got conference covered and has the opportunity to earn PC$ to supply her biz for free, she's focusing on something that was probably done for specific accounting reasons and she can's change anyway.
Vent over. Please return to your day.
