We did a fun thing a few weeks ago, where I took sticky notes and wrote a product on each one...then tape 1 to each person's back so the others can see it but the person can't. Then everyone mixes and mingles around asking only yes or no questions about their product trying to guess it...It also makes them learn about the products as well.
fun fun fun
Effective ice breaker ideas for an NCM opening include interactive games like "Two Truths and a Lie," where participants share two true statements and one false one about themselves, prompting discussion. Another idea is a "Networking Bingo" where attendees fill out bingo cards with personal or professional traits, encouraging mingling. You could also consider a "Speed Networking" session, allowing participants to meet multiple people in a short time.
To tailor ice breaker activities for your audience, consider their demographics, interests, and the overall theme of the conference. For example, if your audience is primarily new consultants, activities that focus on sharing experiences and tips can be beneficial. Additionally, you can incorporate Pampered Chef products into the ice breakers, such as a cooking challenge or a product trivia game, to make it more relevant and engaging.
The ideal duration for ice breaker activities during the NCM opening is typically between 15 to 30 minutes. This allows enough time for participants to engage without losing their attention. Keeping the activities concise and energetic will help set a positive tone for the rest of the conference.
To encourage participation from all attendees during ice breaker sessions, create a welcoming and inclusive environment. Use prompts that require minimal preparation, and consider forming smaller groups to make it less intimidating. Additionally, you can lead by example, sharing your own experiences or answers to break the ice and motivate others to join in.
After the ice breakers, consider follow-up activities such as group discussions or workshops that build on the connections made during the ice breakers. You could also implement a "share your story" segment where attendees can share insights or experiences related to Pampered Chef. Another option is to set up a social media challenge where participants post about their favorite moments from the conference, keeping the engagement alive even after the ice breakers.
