I Just Noticed That on the Pampered Chef Website Under Vendors It Still Has

In summary, the conversation discussed the fact that Nancy's information is still available on the PC website under vendors and can be ordered until the end of August. There was also mention of a big sale on stickers at Nancy's and a comparison between her colorful products and Merrill's less vibrant ones. It was revealed that Nancy is closing her business because TPC terminated her as a vendor, which was met with disappointment from many in the conversation. There was also speculation about why TPC made this decision, with some suggesting it was about money. The conversation also briefly veered off into a discussion about different symbols used in coding and their names.

That's what I was thinking too......and after seeing Merrill's selection - I'm sure I'll be placing at least one more order to stock up!

Oh ok, sorry. I thought the deadline had already passed to order.

Nancy'sBTW - Nancy's is having a big sale on their stickers (Buy 1 set get 2 free). I just put in a big order and stocked up on everything. I heard via the message board that Merril's stuff isn't as colorful as Nancy's. I'm really bummed Nancy's won't be a vendor anymore. I really like her stuff!

I want Nancy too.

You're RIGHT. Nancys stuff almost jumps out at you, where Merrills was kind of Blah! Going there ( to Nancys) to place a BIG order!!!:D :D :D

I seem to remember reading somewhere that she is closing her business. It's not that PC doesn't want her anymore.

She is closing her business because her main business was Pampered Chef. There's nothing else for her to do now. Yet. ;)

Jackie - many people on this board talked directly with Nancy and it was not her idea to stop working with PC. In fact, last year she brought out all the sandstone stuff at PC's request and invested a lot into it. At that time they said that she would be around for a couple more years, at the very least.

Well that sucks!!! I'm wondering if she is going to sell on an independent website? We could still order her stuff without the PC logo.

  • #12
She is closing her business precisely because TPC fired her as a vendor. They were her number one source of revenue, so once TPC signed everything over to Uncle Pennybags and Monopoly...er...Merrill, that was the end of Nancy and VIP.It's all been thoroughly discussed her before - do a search for Nancy and you can find the threads about it.

At this time she is not planning on selling any postcards related to kitchen items after her contract with Pampered Chef is terminated.

  • #14
Yes, we can order and just add our own PC logo sticker.

  • #15
I asked her that a while back, and she said she wasnt going to be making any non-logo postcards for anyone to purchase. She was just sick and heartbroken over her contract being terminated.

Sorry my post seems to have come in under new info saying there will not be kitchen related postcards available. So, never mind.

Poor Nancy and poor us because now we have no Nancy!

  • #18
Why would PC do it?

  • #21
LOL. "They have the right to terminate contracts, and they've used that right"

Maybe? ;)

  • #22
Gee, what would you know about that?;)

A little birdie told me... named Jan. LOL ;)

Julie, you have to use the BB code type links for them. They have square brackets ([]) instead of wickets (<>).

Only Ann would know the difference between a bracket and a wicket. :p

  • #28
I didn't know that was called a wicket.:p

  • #29
At least it's not in her pocket. Or is that a wocket? LOL :D

Little Willie lit a rocket
Which was in his father's pocket.
Next day he told Cousin Dan,
"Daddy is a traveling man!"

That's old-time nerd-speak... wicket. And * is Bang!

! = exclamation, usually referred to as "Bang" because in the days of keypunch, this was the longest arm in the machine and when it got going and hit the punchcard, that was the sound it made.# = octothorpe. That's its name, I can't help it. Usually referred to as pound, tictactoe or worse.& = ampersand... = ellipses, and it's always THREE dots, no more, no less./ = solidus, usually referred to as slash\ = reverse solidus, usually referred to as back slash' = apostrophe, usually referred to as quote" = quoatation mark, usually referred to as double quote* = asterisk, usually referred to as star or splat
