The forum thread emphasizes the importance of regular check-ins among participants, serving as a substitute for a leadership conference. Members are encouraged to share personal updates and business news, fostering a supportive community atmosphere. A quote from Thomas Edison highlights perseverance in the face of failure, illustrating a positive mindset. Additionally, a reference to Jack Canfield's message about Martin Luther King Jr. underscores the significance of having a vision rather than focusing on complaints. There is also a lighthearted discussion about the "National Treasure" movies, with hopes for a potential sequel related to World War I.
Daily check in just to keep in touch. With no leadership conference consider this to be our meetup instead. I'll start with Linda: How's your dad doing? What can we pray for? How's everyone's biz? Let's chat. Even a single line post is ok.
Here's my quote for the day: "Thomas Edison tried and failed 2,000 times before creating the incandescent light bulb. When asked about his failures he replied "I did not fail. I simply discovered 2,000 ways how NOT to make a light bulb". --Nicolas Cage in one of my favorite movies ever...can you guess which one?
Yep! That's it! And the second was every bit as good as the first, which is rare for a sequel. My kids and I figured there's got to be one more, maybe about WW II. (First was about the revolution, second about the Civil war, we're thinking one more about WWI). I hope so!

I liked Jack Canfield's thing he said at conference.
He put up a picture of MLK, Jr and he said:
This man didn't say "I have a complaint", he said "I have a dream".
