So what are your plans for introducing the new products to your customers? Are you going to do a Open House/Show/Power Cooking Workshop/etc. to introduce things? I'm trying to decide what I want to do and how to advertise. Do I do a special promotion/sale? What are your plans?

I am thinking about it. This will also be my 1 year anniversary, so I wanted to do something extra. I want to have an Open House and invite all my customers and have some type of sale. This was I can actually show off every product I have and without lugging it somewhere else. I need to work on details and am eager to hear what others have done.

I have 2 Open houses planned. One for Feb 28th exclusively PC with another consultant and one March 7th with a TS rep. There will be prizes, recipes from each company, new products, etc. I do one each season and they are about $500 shows with 3 bookings. No complaints from me!! So thats why I'm doing 2 now!

I am hosting an open house with appetizers and drinks...probably demo the 12 min microwave cake....keep it simple and casual.

I do an annual Host Appreciation for the Spring/Summer kickoff (my August kickoff for Fall products are for anyone that took advantage of a guest special). Here's what I do (this will be my 4th year doing this):

Invite all my past hosts from the previous year. They'll get to taste the recipes from the new season (usually 6 of them) and they vote on their favorites. I let them know the products that will be retired and show the products from the new season, etc.

I have a drawing for a pretty big gift (usually cookware, but this year I have a Bamboo Knife Block taking up space). They get their name put in for RSVPing, attending, ordering, booking a party, inquiring about the business.

I will usually get enough orders to make a (small) show and at least 2 bookings...word is getting out about this event and they want to come and be pampered.

It's definitely a labor of love...groceries for 6 recipe can add up and I'm usually prepping for a day or two before. But I love showing appreciation for those who have supported my business.

HTH.

Does anyone here have a flyer or flyer-invite made up for a Spring/Summer Kick Off show? I have had EVERY open house I have ever done FLOP since I started 2 1/2 years ago. I am doing an ACTUAL PARTY this time! LOL!

Any ideas? Flyers? Thanks!

Oh, I am totally doing an Open House to show case all the Spring Products. I have attached the files I am using -- they are Canadian though. I am seding an invite with the Mini Catalog. I think it is going to go over well -- I am not giving away too much, just enough to entice people!

OK I don't get it. How in the world do you people get those things to work? I have tried these Previews for the first 5 years and nothing! Each one barely reached $150 and I never got bookings. So what is it that makes them work for you?

I am doing my first Open House to showcase the new spring products on March 7 along with my friend who does Tastefully Simple. She is going to feature their outlet/discontinued products. She is showing food only and I am showing everything except for food products.

Between the two of us, we anticipate 50+ attenders at my home. Glad I bought that bigger house! LOL

I was just listening to a CD with a consultant that has had or knows someone that has had $5000 host appreciation shows! HUH???I do okay with these. I do them as mystery host type so I split up the benefits. They get extra tickets for brings friends/order/etc. I like the idea of having some products (extra ones, even ones from the outlet, but something GOOD) out with bowl (SA maybe) in front of them. I'm thinking I'd do a sign for 1/2 off item, 60% off one item, $50 free, etc. So they can choose a product or benefits...whatever. You do have to view it as appreciation. I think that helps. I will keep it somewhat simple though and I have my family here. After all, my DH can sell and so can my DD :). Their opinions carry more weight sometimes.
