Since we've started offering online Registries, how many have you had that were actually succesful?
I've had 0 and was wondering how you are getting them if at all and how are they successful?

I've had 2 registries, and both had over $500 in orders, plus the bride's order afterwards. It takes a lot of effort to help the bride promote it, but if they're a big fan of PC, they'll make sure everyone knows they want their PC stuff! The best thing I did was have the brides come to my house and see all the stuff (just like they can do at Macy's, BBB, etc.), and I keyed everything in for them. They loved the personal service - I even served wine and snacks, and mom joined the bride for a fun experience. This is how I offer the wedding registry service, so that I can make sure they follow through. Setting appointments and signing them up yourself is key, I think. JMO!

Wow! great idea! I have a bridal fair coming up in April. I'll be sure to offer this.

Cathy~Great idea!!

I ve done bridal events, and I have gotten about 15 registries last year. NONE of them have ANY activity, and I have done follow ups many times. I think people just sign up to get something FREE and they dont realize what they are doing.........kinda sucks for me in the end.

Zero for me!!

I've only had one that actually generated any orders. BUT I have had 2 very successful Bridal Showers, and we used the registry as sort of a "jumping off place" and people did browse it, but then I directed them "away" from the registry to actually place their order to save on the direct shipping costs.

I marked one because I've only had one couple's recipe have enough sales to generate rewards. I have had more than 1 registry though that's generated sales.

Zero!!!! In the year that I have been with PC, I have only had 2 registries. One last year, which generated a $40 sale, and a current one that has not generated a thing yet, but the couple are not getting married until September of this year.

Glad to know it's not just me doing something wrong! :(

Cathy great idea, now only if I can get a regisrty going in the first place! lol

Do you do Bridal fairs or just talk about them at shows?

I've had several - only one though that has generated any sales....and that is because the bride keeps going on and ordering things herself...... Over the course of several months, she has ordered about $350 in products, and
will probably keep ordering. She hasn't cashed in on her rewards yet - the wedding isn't until late this year.

Registries are hard in my opinion. People are so used to places like Macy's, Target, BB&B that I think doing something like PC online makes them nervous. But it's all how you promote it. I like Kathy's idea, in fact I may use it for bridal showers as needed. What bride wouldn't love to actually see the products first before deciding to put them on her wish list (the whole reason I registered in store instead of online when I got marriend). May give her more ideas to put on her wish list.

I have my first and only registry going on right now. So far just one order for $111 but it's money that I didn't have to work for. The wedding is next month so hopefully I'll see a few more orders on there before the end of it.
