It's in the oven now..............I'm making banana bread for the first time in the stoneware mini loaf pan. If the original recipe calls for 60-70 minutes for a full sized loaf how long should I bake the 4 minis? I seem to recall seeing 30 min. somewhere, but want to make sure..............TIA! :chef:

I went about 35 min. and though I haven't cut into them yet, they tested fine with a toothpick Have Cherry Nut in the oven now!

Hi there! Congrats on trying out the stoneware mini loaf pan for the first time! Banana bread is one of my favorites to make in this pan. Based on my experience, I would recommend baking the 4 minis for about 25-30 minutes. However, it's always best to keep an eye on them and use a toothpick to check for doneness before taking them out of the oven. Happy baking! :chef:

Frequently Asked Questions

How long should banana bread bake in a mini loaf pan?

Banana bread typically bakes in a mini loaf pan for about 25 to 35 minutes. However, baking times can vary based on your oven and the specific recipe you are using.

How can I tell if my mini loaf of banana bread is done?

You can check if your banana bread is done by inserting a toothpick or a cake tester into the center. If it comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs, it’s ready. If it comes out wet with batter, it needs more time.

Should I adjust the temperature for baking banana bread in a mini loaf pan?

No, you typically do not need to adjust the temperature when baking banana bread in a mini loaf pan. Most recipes recommend baking at 350°F (175°C), which works well for both standard and mini loaf pans.

Can I use the same recipe for mini loaves as I do for regular-sized loaves?

Yes, you can use the same recipe for mini loaves, but you will need to adjust the baking time. Mini loaves usually bake faster, so start checking for doneness around the 25-minute mark.

What should I do if my banana bread is browning too quickly in a mini loaf pan?

If your banana bread is browning too quickly, you can cover the top loosely with aluminum foil to prevent it from burning while the inside continues to bake. This will help ensure even cooking without over-browning the crust.
