I joined Pampered Chef at the end of February right before my second son was born and today is my first show and I'm very excited (and a little nervous). The host is my sister-in-law and she is expecting 8 for sure people and 3 maybes so I'm hoping for a great show. I'm making the Triple-Citrus Mojitos and the Chicken Jerk Nachos. My goal is to get at least 2 bookings from this (hopefully more!).

Anyone else having their first show this weekend? How did it go?

Have fun and good luck!! I hope that you have a great show.

I did not have my first show this weekend- but I had my first show where I did not know everyone. It was small, but the Host had $300 in sales so far and I got a booking!!

I am in MN too, hope that you are staying warm.

It went pretty well for my first show and have butterflies. There were 9 guests and I made the Mojitos which were a big hit and the Jerk Chicken Nachos. Most of the guests have a lot of PC stuff and probably know more about the products than me but they knew it was my first show and I was a little nervous (my sister in law was the host so it was mostly family). No one booked a show but I did ask everyone which was out of my comfort zone because I'm usually the type that would just wait for others to come to me. It felt good to get the first show out of the way and get a feel for how I want to do the shows! :)

My second show is tomorrow night and I don't feel as nervous! LOL

Congrats! The second one is much easier than the first!

That's AWESOME to do that at your very FIRST show!!! It took me a few years to build up the guts to do that. That's WONDERFUL!! Now keep doing that and I'm sure you'll get bookings at your future shows. Good luck with the next one.:D

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my first Pampered Chef show was successful?

Your first Pampered Chef show can be considered successful if you achieved your sales goals, engaged your guests, and received positive feedback. Look at the total sales amount, the number of orders placed, and how many guests participated in the cooking demonstration. Additionally, if guests expressed interest in hosting their own shows or becoming consultants, that’s a great sign of success!

What should I do if I didn't reach my sales goals at my first show?

If you didn't reach your sales goals, don't be discouraged! Take this as a learning opportunity. Review what worked well and what didn’t. Consider asking for feedback from your guests to understand their experience better. You can also reach out to your Pampered Chef director for tips on improving your future shows.

How can I follow up with guests after my first show?

Following up with guests is crucial for building relationships and encouraging future sales. Send a thank-you note or email expressing your appreciation for their attendance. Include a recap of the show, remind them of any special offers, and invite them to reach out with any questions. This personal touch can help keep them engaged and interested in future Pampered Chef products.

What are some common mistakes to avoid in future Pampered Chef shows?

Common mistakes include not preparing enough, failing to engage with guests, and not promoting the benefits of the products effectively. Make sure to practice your presentation, interact with your audience by asking questions, and highlight how the products can solve their cooking challenges. Learning from your first show will help you improve your future presentations.

How can I use feedback from my first show to improve?

Feedback is invaluable for growth. After your show, ask guests for their thoughts on the presentation, products, and overall experience. Use this information to identify areas for improvement, such as pacing, product selection, or engagement techniques. Implementing constructive feedback can enhance your skills and make your next show even more successful.
