How Can I Raise Funds for a Hospital? Need Ideas!

Click For Summary
The discussion revolves around organizing a fundraiser or event to reach a goal of 20,000 points, particularly in a hospital setting. The individual expresses difficulty in setting up a vendor fair due to time constraints and the unavailability of schools for fundraising. They are exploring leads through sales reps but lack solid commitments. There is an emphasis on recruiting new consultants, although current unqualified recruits show low motivation and poor response to coaching efforts. Past incentives for qualifying recruits have not yielded results, prompting a need for new strategies. The individual has improved their qualification rate by actively scheduling parties and maintaining weekly check-ins with recruits, stressing the importance of time management in the business. They suggest reaching out to businesses, such as car dealerships, for potential partnerships in the fundraising effort.

Ok so 20,000 points to go.

I want to do some sort of fair / fundraiser / fun thing at a hospital or some type of thing.

I don't have time to put together a vendor fair type event...do you all have any ideas for this? I've tried calling around to schools but they've already set up their fundraisers for the year.

I've been talking to the sales reps at stores and started getting leads that way - no solid bookings yet but some promising leads.

What else can I do?

Oh yes, I'm also recruiting like CRAZY but I don't want to rely on that. I have 7 unqualified consultants right now. My qualification rate isn't great so I'm still working with them.

When I was down to the wire for TPC, I offered a sale. I gave anyone who ordered $100 or more 25% off their order. I had several takers and it turned into a $1000+ show.

How about offering an incentive for the recruits to qualify? If you get all 7 to qualify, that's 14,000 points right there!

Honestly...I tried that with them before...back in their 30 days and then again when it came to their 90 days and NOTHING is motivating these girls. I don't know what to do anymore. They don't come to training, they don't want to have anything to do with my coaching calls...nothing. grrr.

Bless, release and go recruit some more.
I had a horrible qualification rate in the beginning of the year. I now, MAKE them get their parties on the books and I let them know I will be "helping" them at least once a week to saty on track. I explain that the hardest part of this business at first is finding the time to work. We make appointments and they are doing better. The ones that are not responding, don't worry about them, they are sucking energy out of you that you need!
You can do it!
Let's change that to WE can do it. I need 20, 000 also :)
Mexico here I come!!

Talk to the person in charge of gift-giving at car dealerships~any company for that matter~see if they would like to take advantage of the Stoneware sale as gifts for their salespeople!!!

Frequently Asked Questions

What are some creative fundraising ideas for a hospital?

Consider hosting a themed dinner event where attendees can enjoy a meal prepared with Pampered Chef products. You could also organize a bake sale featuring items made with Pampered Chef tools, or a cooking class where participants pay a fee to learn new recipes. Additionally, a silent auction with donated items or experiences can be a great way to raise funds.

How can I use Pampered Chef products to raise funds for a hospital?

You can host a Pampered Chef party where a portion of the sales goes directly to the hospital. Promote the event by highlighting how the funds will benefit the hospital, and encourage attendees to invite friends and family. You can also create a special fundraising catalog with selected products where a percentage of each sale is donated.

Can I partner with local businesses for fundraising?

Absolutely! Partnering with local businesses can enhance your fundraising efforts. You can collaborate with restaurants to host a dine-out night where a percentage of the sales goes to the hospital. Additionally, local businesses might be willing to donate items for a raffle or auction, which can help draw in more participants and raise more funds.

What role can social media play in my fundraising efforts?

Social media is a powerful tool for fundraising. You can create a dedicated event page on platforms like Facebook to promote your fundraising activities, share updates, and encourage donations. Use Instagram and Twitter to showcase your events, share stories about the hospital's impact, and engage with your community to raise awareness and support.

How can I motivate volunteers to help with fundraising?

To motivate volunteers, clearly communicate the cause and its importance. Offer them roles that match their skills and interests, and provide training or resources to help them succeed. Recognize their efforts publicly and create a sense of community by hosting appreciation events. Highlight the impact of their contributions on the hospital and the patients it serves.
