I know this is corny with all there is to think about, but my biggest concern is what will I demo? I would like something easy, but impressive. I am thinking dessert is usually a winner? But what recipe that goes with the kit contents? I have my first show 8/27. Help me out cheffers! What do I demo?

There are three recipes in your kit--Strawberry Amaretto Pastries is the dessert. I'd just stick with that one since you'll have the preprinted cards in your kit.

The other two are Elegant Articoke Cups and a veggie pizza of some sort.

Have you gotten your kit yet? It comes with recipes specifically designed for the starter kit that includes scripts to help you out.

If you have access to CC (consultants corner) then you can also find the theme recipes and I'm pretty sure they are also for starter kits (or at least one of each type is).

Yes...I think the new Warm Nutty Caramel Brownies is a super starter recipe...YUM!

I did the Mango Salsa Sundaes for my first show. They were great and a HUGE hit!!
Ive also made the strawberry amaretto pastries, and the three cheese garden pizza.
My opinion, as a newbie myself, is consider the time of day your show will be. I did the salsa sundaes for dessert after a BBQ, the strawberry amarettos are a great little snack (I made them bite size to 'pamper a business') and the pizza was a great recipe for a late afternoon show.
All the recipes in the new consultant kits are real easy so you dont have to worry about that. Just pick what will work for your show
GOOD LUCK

Once you've picked the recipe practice, practice, practice.

does the seasons best still have a "section" for starter kit recipes? like the last two in each section or somethig>

try the jerk chicken salad. it's so easy and a really pretty presentation!

Looks to me like the last two recipes in each section of the new SB are with super starter kit products! (The new kit products...)

I made the apple almond pastry at alot of my first shows. It looks so impressive and is really easy. It was a super starter recipe with the old kit, so I'm sure it still could be. You could do it easily on the bar pan if you don't have the round stone. It is SUPER yummy with vanilla ice cream!!

How can I engage my guests during the cooking show?

How do I handle any cooking mishaps during the show?
