Figuring Past Host's Total: $15.00 + Shipping + Tax?

Click For Summary
SUMMARY

The total amount owed by a past host is calculated by applying the discount to the product total before adding shipping and tax. For a product total of $15.00 with a 10% discount, the discounted price is $13.50. After adding $4.00 for shipping and $1.27 for tax (7.25%), the final amount owed is $18.77. This method ensures that discounts are applied correctly before additional charges are calculated.

I need help I am at work so can't look it up pp3 - how would I figure how much someone owes if they are a past host? Here is the total for products is $15.00 do I take the discount off of that or is after you add shipping? Product total is $15.00 shipping is $4.00 and tax is 7.25%

The discount is on the product only so:

$15 - $1.50 (10%) = $13.50 +$4 shipping = $17.50 + $1.27 tax = $18.77

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the total of $15.00 represent in the context of a past host's order?

The total of $15.00 typically represents the subtotal for the products purchased by the past host before any additional charges such as shipping and tax are applied.

How do I calculate the total amount due after including shipping and tax?

To calculate the total amount due, you need to add the shipping cost and the applicable tax to the $15.00 subtotal. For example, if shipping is $5.00 and tax is $1.50, the total would be $15.00 + $5.00 + $1.50 = $21.50.

Are there any additional fees that might apply to a past host's order?

In addition to shipping and tax, there may be additional fees such as handling charges or special delivery fees depending on the specific circumstances of the order. It's important to check the specific details during the checkout process.

How is the shipping cost determined for a past host's order?

The shipping cost is typically determined based on the total weight of the items being ordered and the shipping method selected. Different carriers may have varying rates, so it’s best to check the shipping options available during the checkout process.

Can I use my host rewards to cover the shipping and tax on my order?

Host rewards can often be used to cover the cost of products, but typically they cannot be used to cover shipping and tax. It’s advisable to review the specific terms of your host rewards or consult with your Pampered Chef consultant for clarification.
